Aaargh, this does my head in! But the schf does sound well deserved :)

Are these 2 ex-friends now married to each other? Yes
Are they 2 different sexes? This relates to 'each of them looks surprisingly like the other's previous partners who they were obsessed with' although I think I've worked that bit out now so that it makes sense whether they are a man and a woman or 2 women. (Can't be 2 men as one of them is a she, unless you were being very camp in your description!) The manipulative one is a female, the other is male. She dated a guy for about a month at uni, and was obsessed with him for 7 years, he sort of dated a girl who messed him around and was obsessed with her for years.

(Actually I must lead a very restricted life. I don't know any gay men who have got married wearing dresses, either. And I'm sure that if they had, the dresses would have been in impeccable taste!) Oh I'd love to go to a drag wedding!

Comments in red. I know it's a bit mean, but I'd been friends with the guy for about 20 years, and the girl for a few years. He lives quite far away, and she got extra pally with me after I got engaged to Mr Monkey but then I found out that it was just to get information on him because he was coming to town for the wedding. It kind of hurt that he dropped me immediately. In fact, it really hurt.

Had she met him before then?
In what way did he drop you immediately?

They'd met once before at a party and kept in touch through social media - although I was unaware of the extent of this. Before I'd be in touch with both of them email and text on a regular basis and once she got enough information from me, she stopped getting in contact, didn't answer emails, stopped coming to nights out, lied about why she wasn't coming to my hen do, etc.

It all sounds very childish, but looking back, she was pumping me for information about him in a very sneaky way and I missed it because I was busy planning a wedding and managing the war that broke out amongst my family at the time.

Then she started to get sniffy about my relationship with him which was always platonic (well, there was a time a million years ago when it might have happened but we were never single at the same time, and by the time we were both single we were firmly in the friendzone and rather ironically didn't want to "ruin the friendship") but she didn't believe that. I don't get it really - she's a million times prettier than me, so no need to be insecure. Anyway, when that happened, he stopped contacting me too.

There were a few other things that went on that DH is very angry with them about, but I fear I'd confuse you lot even more.

Anyway, I'm not looking to save the relationship with either of them - they're scorched that earth now - we're casual facebook acquaintances and that's enough. Just sometimes, I like to be mean.
