Good evening everyone! I may have gone to bed with a penguin last night much to WaSp's horror (Sir P came, too!). I was like a little child cuddling her Santa present as she slept and I don't care if it's childish, I am still over the moon! I saw reindeer and Santa and elves! I am driving WaSp mad because I am in a ridiculously good mood and spontaneously singing Christmas songs at every opportunity. I can't move today, my legs are two blocks of painful lead and we won't get onto my hips but I don't care!
Yesterday will keep me on a high for days! Photo's are on their way!
It is so very nice to be able to share my happiness with you all and not be thought of as odd!
Hello, greenval! I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. If you ever need to talk we are here for you, but do feel free to lurk if you prefer that, you are still part of our team!
Duke! How are you? How is Harry? It is lovely to see you, please tell Harry that I am thinking of him.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Sorry about the leg and hip pain, but glad you're still feeling happy from yesterday! Looking forward to pictures!
I'm about to head home to see the family for Christmas :j though I seem to have already annoyed my mum by telling her I was getting a slightly later train to avoid rush hour, he response was "so what do I do about tea?" I didn't even know she was cooking tea if I had I wouldn't have suggested going back later. Oh well...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Odd, WaS? What's odd about reindeer and elves and Santa?
Listen, I'd have been there too, making tree sarnies and biscuits and dancing so with elves, and telling Santa what a good girl I've beenand everything! Nowt odd 'bout it!
Listen WaS, you just MUST do that elf yourself thing! You and WaSp could be virtual elves, and you could even include MIL if you have a photo of her.
I even tried doing it with Jugliet, as a Juglielf, but that looked too weird for words!
I did it with me, though! It's SOOOO funny!
I'll get the link for you!

Red long sleeve top, green waistcoat, elf hat and ears from the pound shop. I have pictures to prove it is possible:) Pre Gitdog days though. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Have a good journey, MU!
The elf thing is hilarious! I sent it to WaSp!
We are all prepared for Christmas, presents wrapped, decorations up (including my bauble with a photo of Santa and I inside it) and all food delivered. Actually, too much food delivered. Asda substituted a lot but they upgraded so we have double the quantity in some cases!
WaSp and I will be squirreling ourselves now until at least the weekend, Milliefleur has her 3 sisters, niece, cousin and BIL with her so has plenty of company. In fact she rang earlier to say what with carers arriving, too she has been sitting in her bedroom for a bit of peace and quiet!

I haven't had a mince pie yet this year. Got any to spare? Need mince pies and mulled wine. (Not necessarily in that order.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I may have errrr 24 mince pies for two of us! I also have mulled wine. WaSp keeps saying we are going to be busy with the 200 people you must have invited over to eat all of this. Not my fault! I didn't ask Asda to substitute 2 pork steaks for a pack of 12 or two small cheesecake slices for a whole one! They have upgraded 9 items, we have everything we ordered but in family packs! We won't go hungry? Incidentally, I am not complaining! As we pay the original price for substitutions they were very generous! I shall accept it as a present from them.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
