Hahahaha! I've got the most wonderful pictures of the excited WaS bouncing along through everything, followed by a sheepish, bowed/shaking head WaSp!

It's wonderful that you didn't need your blanket!
Mind you, if you had worn it, those mischievous elves would only have peeked under it, I expect!

How many polar bears? It must have been quite a long winterland walk!

    And sandwiches and biscuits!

And the serendipitous pièce de resistance! The Penguin! We must all have been giving out the strongest of vibes! :D

Oh brave new garden centre, that has such people in it! :)

    I love

  • I'm so glad you had your magical day WaS. I can't be the only person sitting here with a silly grin on my face :)

Nope, reading some of the further posts this morning, I am too :D

I just read your Santa post to DH and littlewing, and it still makes me well up this morning.

    Hello, everyone.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • Thank you all for the welcome.
I have depression that is fairly well managed and assorted physical disabilities and can really relate to much of what has been posted/discussed and often have the 'me too' feeling
Even if I don't post I always read this thread and find it uplifting and supportive.
    Merry Christmas to you all!

What's the thread position on schadenfreude? Trying to work out if I'm being a bad person or not :rotfl:

  • My position is that it depends on the person you're schadenfreuding about :D:o

Well say, hypothetically of course :rotfl:, that you had 2 friends who met and say one of those 2 friends had used underhand tactics and used you to get closer to the other friend and then both dropped you like a stone as soon as they got together, and you strongly suspected that the one who had previously used the underhand tactics was using the other one as a meal ticket, then would it be bad to:

    a. be amused that each of them looks surprisingly like the other's previous partners who they were obsessed with?

    b. be amused that her wedding dress was ugly

    c. be amused that now they're married, she's getting fat

  • Aaargh, this does my head in! But the schf does sound well deserved :)

Are these 2 ex-friends now married to each other?
Are they 2 different sexes? This relates to 'each of them looks surprisingly like the other's previous partners who they were obsessed with' although I think I've worked that bit out now so that it makes sense whether they are a man and a woman or 2 women. (Can't be 2 men as one of them is a she, unless you were being very camp in your description!)

(Actually I must lead a very restricted life. I don't know any gay men who have got married wearing dresses, either. And I'm sure that if they had, the dresses would have been in impeccable taste!)
