    Hello Mellymoo.
Stress at this time of year is always extra hard.

Oranges, peeled and split into segments, kept in a plastic container, then you can dip in and out with hardly any effort.
Cheese, cut into cubes, ditto with cherry tomatoes.
    Tasty yogurts, same thing.

I stop eating when I get stressed as well. Satsumas are good, handfuls of nuts and raisins, that sort of thing. Or a bit of cereal . Not "proper" food, but easier to face than a plateful. Or grazing out of the fridge - make sure there's bits and bobs you can munch as you go, cut up carrots and peppers, bits of meat, finger food basically.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Sorry you're feeling out of control mellymoo. What did you find helped before with the stress? Can anyone around you help in any way?

That all sounds like pretty good food to me, Elsien! More 'proper' than a burger! Just because it's not hot, doesn't mean it's not nutritious!

I can understand that. You are also able to control the sort of food you eat. As Elsien says, that type of finger food might suit you better than a meal on a plate on a table, but is no less nutritious. Probably more nutritious than a lot of meals I've seen people eat!
A lot of green vegetables can be eaten raw. Sugar-snap peas, green beans, lettuce leaves, rocket etc. nice and light. Hardly feels like eating, but nutritious! And nibbly, you don't have to cut it up or eat it with a fork, just nibble away at the whole leaves/beans! No ghastly full feeling. Just nice and light.

Mellymoo, is Christmas the source of the stress, or is it exacerbating it?

    Mmmmm sugar snap peas.

code, I think your CBP is okay to stay - you followed the etiquette.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Just keep reminding yourself that in a couple of days it'll all be over, and with any luck the outlaws will be back in their own homes.:)
