Ooooo - I was wondering how Pugliet was! Is he remembering to remind you to take your pug drops, as well? :D

What do the good voices say?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • He is! I squeeze him with the other hand while I do it! He lives on the seat next to me, he is never far away.

Another way I can escape the voices is to meditate for a while. I haven't done it for a while but it can help an awful lot, I just have to make sure I don't drift into bad places.

I used to do medidation cd's. I also started a mindfulness course but sadly my rheumatoid arthritis flared up and for a while I could not walk very far or drive so could no longer attend. I did ask to be referred to the next course but never heard anything back and this was a few years ago now.. the post triggered me to remember I had quite forgotten.

  • I haven't tried Mindfulness in itself, but I practiced Buddhism for a while which is very similar. That is also where I learnt to meditate. I find it very helpful to bring my mind back to the present moment and can alleviate a lot of anxiety through that.

The nice voices counteract the bad ones, whitewing. They will tell me that I am a good person who deserves to be loved. They also say I have always been kind to them and have protected them for years. Lucee calls me mummy!

Oh it's soooo busy in here I can't keep up & I can't keep away! Hi Team WaS :D

Nor me! Wow I was only away for the weekend and the thread has flown on. Some inspirational and thought provoking posts for me particularly about voices and the types of things they say. I agree with Haybel & LiR and think they should pipe down too (the bad ones that is)!

Pyxis - love the fairy dust and other suggestions, I would have loved that as a little girl a little like leaving carrots and mince pies out for Santa and the Reindeer. Whitewing looking forward to hearing more about your DDs fairy adventures :D

JM - you're back again! It is SO hard not to though - MSE forums are a very time consuming habit! Great to hear Pugliet is being such good company.

Just to reinforce the significance of this thread, to date there have been 721 posts, and, wait for it, 22,211 views! Now, if something on this thread has helped half those viewers in even just a small way, well, that's an awful lot of help emanating from this thread!

All down to you WaS! If ever there was a reason for you being on this earth, this is it! :T

Ya gotta write that book! :)

P.s. Just to let you know, there's a two-part programme on BBC2 tonight on bees. 8.00pm. It's called 'Hive Alive'. Should be good, especially in HD!

    OMG HOW many views????

    *waves to everyone out there*

WaS has obviously done a really great thing starting this thread! xxxxx

PS Love the dog tease. DH is really fond of this one and watches it when he needs a laugh! Apparently the guy gets voiceover work now :)

PS (Especially to WaS, but also to myself :D) I am sure the guy gave his dog a lovely treat after filming this. I bet you felt REALLY sorry for the dog if you viewed this, as I did, but that dog is obviously really loved and gets regular treats :D:D:D)
