Very exciting times in our family...we have decided to move house! We have had this house for nearly forty years and whilst we love it, the area is rapidly deteriorating, so we are moving elsewhere. Not too far away though. Still in our comfort zone!

We are getting the house ready for sale and hopefully will put it on the market next week. Meanwhile we have two viewings lined up:

and I am going to arrange one tomorrow for this one:

I'm quite excited. I know the process of moving can be very stressful, but it's like giving birth...painful, but with something nice at the end. :)

    I'll keep you all posted!

Hey all we are both now a little better but still run down. Have the rescheduled health visitor appointment tomorrow to discuss little miss speech. Very nervous and anxious. Little miss is such a happy sociable child I expect when she gets talking she will be a right chatterbox. In the meantime she is quiet happy that she can make her feelings and needs know without talking - well other than the odd word that is.

Oooooo, all you people who haven't tried pannetone, you really must! The fraaaagrance when you unwrap it makes me feel dizzy to think of it! NB It's about half the price in Lidl and Aldi than it is anywhere else :D

*wonders if Approved Food ever do pannetone* ;)

ETA I can't spell! OK, I will do better. Panettone, panettone, panettone......

7DW - how exciting! (And what a lot you get for your money in Wolverhampton - soooo envious! We have a house less than half that size, which would cost at least twice as much :( )
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Ok, I really have to try pannettone, you have sold me on it without me ever trying a mouthful!

I would absolutely LOVE to go out for a drive and see everyone's Christmas lights. I am aiming to do it and hoping that as it is at night I won't be paranoid about people seeing me.

I LOVE the encouraging doggie dance LIR! That made me laugh my socks off! Did it work?

Good luck on the promotion, Code. You can do it, we believe in you!

How exciting SDW! A house move can be traumatic at the time but wonderful at the end. I do hope that you find your dream house in a lovely location, let us know how it goes. I am crossing everything for you.

Tomorrow will be fine, haybel! I bet Little one is just biding her time and soon you won't be able to stop her talking! I will be thinking of you both, let us know how it goes.

I had a long nap and have just woken up, good news is the headache has gone! The neurologists appointment is 9.15am so at least I shall be ready in plenty of time. I have never seen a neurologist before, I have no idea what they might ask. After this there is the rheumatology appointment next week and I have made it through my month of appointments. I am making sure to stagger the next set.

Just googled and it says they start by taking a comprehensive medical history, lol that might take up all of your appointment.
Good luck and hope it all goes well. Will you stop up now you have had your nap?.I have not been to bed yet but am out of work so nothing to get up for, have always been a night owl but since I got made redundant i have gone later and later it was 5 am a few nights ago, does cause a bit of a problem if I have to go to the work programe but I can get up when I have to cannot afford to be sanctioned. Is the homeless guy still outside or has he moved on now?
  • Aw, well you are company for me at night which I am grateful for! I will stay up now, I am wide awake and already panicking about the trip out so probably couldn't sleep if I wanted to. I am naturally a night owl anyway, even when working I loved night shifts and hated 7am starts.

A comprehensive medical history may stretch over two appointments and that is providing I can remember it all!

The homeless guy seems to have moved on, I like to think he is tucked up warm in a shelter for the night. It is quite cold tonight, I do feel for all of the homeless people sleeping rough.

I know it is easy to say but try and keep your mind busy so you do not panic.I love looking at the lol cats thread it always cheers me up.
Maybe you could plan a little treat for when you get home.
I also hope the man has found somewhere and am so thankful i have a roof over my head. There is a lady who posts on the pet forum who has been helping another homeless man who has a 13 year old dog,she bought the dog a coat and does what she can to help the man.It is heart warming to read the forum and see stories of kindness to others.
  • Oh, how sweet of her to do that. We have a lot of homeless people in this part of town, WaSp gave one £1 the other week because he didn't have the bus fare to get to the shelter. I wish that there was more that we could do to help them.

I think you are right and I need to look at amusing animals for a while. The appointment itself I am fine about, it's the getting there and the amount of people in the hospital that's the problem. Plus as it is a new department we have to go through WaSp explaining to them that I cannot sit in a waiting room so could they please collect me from the corridor outside. All the waiting rooms in our local hospital have chairs facing each other, a total nightmare for me who hates to be looked at!

Morning all. Here's hoping all your appointments go well and aren't too traumatic.
I'm not looking my best this morning as I'm breaking out in cold sores, which is usually due to stress (I've ruled out the other triggers of hot sun or having a cold.) Starting to worry about the practicalities of the new job, and how much mum will have to have Gitdog. Can't be helped though, I was very lucky with my previous short commute so any job is going to mean longer days than I'm used to.
Also off to the hairdresser for the first time in about 30 years. Experimenting with looking slightly less grey. I always said I'd just let my hair colour do what it wanted, but have decided that in today's ageist world, looking marginally less old might boost my confidence. Didn't help that the stylist in the consultation looked about 12. It's not only the policemen that are getting younger.:rotfl:
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
