  • The charms idea is lovely, LIR! I always wanted a charm bracelet as a little girl, one to commemorate each birthday is magical!

In this battery-driven age, we often forget how great wind-up toys are!
This is a set of three wind-up wooden boats. Would she like them for the bath?

Guess who just put the kettle on with no water in it? Now we need a new one. Stupid memory!

More than half my life ago & after a few drinks, I put an electric kettle on a gas ring :o

Then when we moved house (sober this time), I couldn't find the flex to the electric kettle so bought another. The tea & coffee tasted ever so funny though, upon investigation I found it inside the kettle & boiled to death
  • Hahahahaha! Glad it isn't just me, Duke! Hope you and Harry are doing ok, please tell him that I am thinking of him!

Hi WaS :) How are you today? Harry & me are fine thank you for asking. I did tell him on Saturday that you were asking after him, he looked very thoughtful almost like he was about to reply, but then shut his eyes & dropped off to sleep :o I'm sure he was about to ask after you but he'd had a bad night the night before, plus they've upped his dose of medicine that he takes along with his pills & he's quite drowsy.

Hope you're feeling better soon Codebreaker. The dizzy's as I call them are very scary! I first got them quite badly when I was lying down in bed & couldn't get up as my head appeared to be rolling. It terrified me as I didn't think that you'd go dizzy lying down. I was convinced that I'd got a tumor on my brain, but it turned out to be an ear imbalance.

Aaaw a charm bracelet, I too always wanted one.

What about a voucher of some sort LIR? I always used to absolutely love the thought of a selection box as a child, but rarely got one. Also there's no clutter, unlike a gift.

Must dash as I'm off to see the nurse for a jab, hope she's kind to me :(

    Hope everyone's well x

    I love this. :D

Mauve squeaker is home with shiny white pearly teeth. She's going back in a few days for a test though. She came home loose in the car ( only because I know my cats are ok loose in the car because they've travelled an awful lot, and traffic was very light indeed) and enjoyed the view, and is not at all whoosy. She certainly looks like someone who wants a treat for supper.

I think a treat is definitely in order, LIR! One of my cats absolutely hated the carrier, not only did we get injured putting her in she would wet herself and cry the whole time. By the time we reached the vets she would have opened-mouthed breathing and be shaking. We gave up in the end and let her loose in the car and she loved it! She would sit on my lap with her paws on the window and watch the world go by, she never caused any problems at all.

And today's learning curve is: when you stick your hand behind a cupboard to pick up something you've dropped, it is preferable to remember the mousetrap is there before you stick your finger in. Ouch.

    Oh no! Elsien! Poor you!

Hope your fingers aren't broken! Are they badly bruised?

When I had mice I used a humane one and released them in a woodland. (They were field mice, not house mice). Better than hurtled fingers!
