Very sad about Lynda Belingham- cancer is an awful awful illness. I have nursed a family member in their final days of stomach/liver cancer. Whilst a final christmas with her family may have been nice lingering suffering is not. I truly hope that her family can find peace and comfort from knowing her final moments were in the arms of her husband.

Cancer has sadly touched my family several times - some battles won, some ongoing and of course the fmaily member I helped nurse who lost his battle. It is a very emotive subject for me and has caused immeasurable pain. I truly hope that the future holds a cure for an illness that devastates not just the suffer but their loved ones too.

We are really feeling the pinch to Whitewing- everythign seems to be going up- food, fuel, utilities... it is often a struggle here.

In other news I am just back from little one's first ever ballet class. I am so proud and absolutely buzzing. She only turned two last Monday so is the youngest age they teach- but she did so well and really loved it. Its all taught via games at this age and she thought it was amazing fun. Of course I joined in with her to help her get the hang of it and we both had so much fun. My friend and her daughter have been going for awhile- her little girl is 3 and told me that she would help my daughter as 'I am big and she is only little'. Bless her. My other friend and her daugther who is the same age as mine also started today. She does not think my 'fairy flying' is up to scratch and is teasing me mercilously lol.

I would like to point out there is little requirement to pretend to fly like fairy in my normal daily life!!! I made a much better monster! LOL

I do love the dog stories, I am laughing my head off here! All doggies would be welcome to jump on my bed!

Hello haybel! It is very sad indeed, I am so sorry that you have been through so much with family members.

I bet Little one looked adorable at ballet! What a lovely thing for her to do!

Max is snuggling me as i type. He loves his cuddles and we have just been playing his favourite game- he loves it if you chuck small treats/titbits in the living room and then he races to get them comes back ready for the next one... he tired himself out as he also likes to jump to catch the pieces which makes little one giggle. She loves watching Max play.

I am just looking online now to buy her a tutu and ballet slippers. She loved it and it was so lovely to watch her enjoy herself.

And I did Latin at O level as well. Shame on me. :rotfl:

Um....the position of Top Dog has been filled, but not, methinks, by the dog!

(I sneaked these from the Lolcats thread!)

I would love a nice, warm animal to snuggle up to.

It was fabulously windy walking back from school today. Felt invigorating.

Good morning, everyone. Have a wonderful day.

Mauve squeaker has gone to have her teeth cleaned today. For such a tiny person the house feels surprisingly emptier without her here.

Edit: just heard she's awake and clean toothed and fine.
