I'd really like those shoes on wheels kids have now, or the ones with lights in!
I'd worry squeaky shoes might sound I was killing small squeaky things.....or had wind! Aren't they pretty shoes? I wish I had a little girl to buy things for. We just sent fir's niece moomin books, not sure what to send to send for Christmas, lots of the gifts I have sent have missed the mark.. Fairy stuff was conforming her to a stereotypical expectation of sex and infantile ( it was to attach to a pram or pushchair or back pack....to have something to fiddle with when out) and pretty clothes are similarly anti feminist.0 -

I would imagine they'd drive parents demented!
I'd like some shoes with lights in the toes so that you can see where you're going! You could turn the lights on by clicking your heels together!
Grr! Blasted fly is driving me bonkers!(I just lurve spiders!)

Poor Mauve, I hate having to leave anyone behind at the vets for treatment. Hopefully she will be home soon and ready for cuddles.
Eeyore alert.....
The wind is is upsetting my dizzy/balance problem so I keep feeling like I have just got off a rollercoaster. Very hard to think straight or even read as my eyes keep jiggling about. Had to cancel my plans to meet a friend and walk dogs this morning. Not sure whether to go swimming this afternoon.....I need to get out though....

They are already cuddling her at the vets
. She is one of the cuddliest creatures alive and would gladly be carried and loved all day and night.
I'm really lucky that my vets really care about things like that, they are treated as individuals.
Oystercatcher, I don't know what its like where you are, here it's getting a little worse. Take care.0 -

I kept asking for toy cars. Finally got one when I was almost too old to play with it!
I would have loved a meccano set, too. Never got one.:(
I did like dolls and things too.
I think a variety of things is the key.
I was once given several old and broken necklaces, and they became my 'snake' family, and had different personalities! I used to slither them around, while they had adventures!(I just lurve spiders!)

I always wanted a train set. Never got one.

One of the problems is huge family , lots of them ( other parents side) we don't know, so cannot ask to check presents aren't duplicated. Another is that the parents are living in rented accommodation and in short term contracts, hoping to make a big move sometime, so things that I think would be great...like train sets! Or tea sets, are frowned upon as 'clutter' that's going to be a hassle to move in the future.
Its very difficult to get right sadly! Fir has suggested not sending anything but I remember as a tiny thing how exciting it was to get gifts from odd, relatives in strange places.0 -
Depending on how much you want to spend, how about a cinema ticket? Or similar?(I just lurve spiders!)

Aw, poor Mauve! Hope she isn't too traumatised by the vets and the cuddles are making up for it!
Love the pics, I really do want a pet again. It really is a consideration the next time I have to move.
Sorry to hear about your balance oystercatcher, as someone with balance problems I sympathise totally. Is it an illness or a problem with your balance centre in your brain? If the latter there is treatment that helped me quite a lot.
All ok here, very windy indeed but the sun is shining. I am feeling a little depressed today but it is probably my thyroid so I am not dwelling on it.
PS. I would love the fairy things, LIR! Or gnomes! She is a lucky little girl!

Its a great idea, but that kind of thing is the stuff her parents are great at. I think her parter all grandfather will soon take her to her first 'nutcracker' at Christmas.
I had considered doing something like collecting antique gold charms for each b'day so she could either keep or, because they'll probably be hated, sell to a jeweller when she is older.0
