Is her birthday before or after yours? Could you have a joint birthday tea with her?

  • Hahahahahahaha! She might like a joint actually...

Hers is the 7th November, mine is the 28th so we could aim for somewhere in the middle!

No, go to hers on 7th...we can't wait until the 28th for a surprise birthday update.

Would WaSp let you take some sparklers or would that be too risky with her near-blindness and your psychosis - it may not be quite the celebration he had in mind in the local A & E, lol.

  • Sparklers are possible! She does have vision but only out of the corners of her eyes, the opposite to tunnel vision. I quite like sparklers and pretty glowing things! I shall aim for the 7th!

Have a 'light' party...fairy lights, candles, sparkers, torches, e cigarettes (do they glow?)

  • Oooh, good idea! My e-cig glows green so it fits in! Bright colours are very important to MIL, she can see them more easily than dull ones. I shall take some fairy lights with me, and a cake!

Trying to catch up due to being obsessive, but the maniac in me wont allow me to read anything more than a few lines at the moment, mad!

OK, I'll finally get around to boring you all with my day at the wellbeing fair, which was held at the local Football Club. We were served pastries & drinks upon arrival, I must say that I was impressed with the water in the glass bottles rather than plastic bottles. Does that make them posh or me common?

My Onco was guest speaker & opened the show. He's a hard act to follow, he attempted a Full Monty :rotfl: He won bin liners from the tombola & he was thrilled to bits, such a humble man. I'll shut up about him now cus I wont stop once I get started.

We could choose 3 things to do that day. I did the tour around the football ground, & had my photo taken in the changing rooms (I had to look in case there was a stray naked man hiding), & on the bench .... I must've been doing good role play as I was horrified to find that on the photo my legs were wide open & they looked very blokey

There was pampering sessions by Harvey Nix & Boots, Floristry, Laughter Yoga, Tai Chi, & Reiki. I choose the Tai Chi (which was a no show), & Reiki. The Reiki woman asked me if I did it too as she said that she could feel loads of energy (I wish I could) coming from me, & she only felt this from other Reiki teachers. It was good, but when she touched (well I couldn't actually feel her touching), my stomach I did think for one awful moment that I was gonna trump! :o Oh & as extras we could get our nails done, or henna tattoo.

At around 1pm me were served a lovely 2 course lunch, it's usually a buffet but I ain't complaining. Followed by The Cancer Choir (no I'm not in it), Gospel Choir, Bingo, Bhangra dancers, Irish Dance Academy, they were all brilliant & give their time for free every year! It was a fantastic day enjoyed by 300 of us this year, hopefully more next year & a festival.

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • I haven't got past the naked man part yet! It sounds wonderful, Duke, what a good day!
