That has been one of my positives about not working - I don't have any works Christmas parties to feel obliged to go to.

    A definite positive :)

Fir is taking a girlfriend, who is single. She might meet some one. Who knows?

Oystercatcher I want to be very clear here, Like everything else on this thread no one should talk or feel encouraged to over share about anything beyond their boundaries. That includes all forms of sumo. :). Don't let our good humour push your boundaries on this subject, ok? :)

Is kissing ( even on cheeks) and holding hands and hugging ok?

I think partly its a chicken and egg thing.

I feel very unattractive to me nowadays. But fir has never, ever let me feel unsexy to him. I can barely look in mirrors and hate buying clothes, ( I used to be quite vain tbh, and think I still am which is why I take the physical changes so hard) but I'm lucky that fir makes me feel attractive to him. I also still get other attention, rarely, but it happens, which frankly amazes me, but ...hey ho, there really are people drawn to all types. :)

I know even though fir is still attracted to me, when I make the effort he is really, really boosted by that. :).

Yes, I'd not want no life without fir if there were no sumo ever. Our life is do much more than sumo. :) but I still think its worth making an effort for you. And the dogs. My dogs like seeing which scent I am wearing. One of the paying guest horses is most amazingly interested in my perfume. Especially if I change after wearing one for a while, she gets bored if I wear one for too long!

If every thing else seems too much ...too visible what about your favourite colour in the world on your toenails? Almost nobody else would know but you and your oh, and when you see them it could cheer you up.

I have some duplicates of varnish space nk sent me in an order, I cannot remember the colours, a bright pink I think, not sure of the others....I'd glad ly send you one so you could have happy toenails. I know jobbing musician is very busy, but when her move is over if you like we could do it via her so you are only giving your address to a board guide ( I'll cover all postage though)

We do kiss and hug a lot and we tell each other we love each other every day and I'm pretty sure he means it. it's just anything more and he tenses up changes the subject and talks a lot about something completely unrelated. Avoidence +++

I shall go upstairs and put perfume on now , that is a brilliant idea :) I had no idea horses like perfume, how strange :D

I don't think I have ever in my life painted my toenails, only worn nail varnish a couple of times as a teen. I think DH would faint with amazement if he saw me paint my nails. Thank you for your offer, it's lovely but maybe not the right one for me. You are right though, I do need to boost self esteem a bit.

    Perfume........

    You're welcome.

I think maybe some changes from what we do might do us all good.

If we always do what we've always done, so the saying goes......

I'm trying to think of what I could do to cheer my self up that's visible and might challenge how I see my self.

Its a shame my hair wouldn't take that dye:rotfl:

Maybe mine isn't visible......hmm, I'll think about it.

Enjoy the perfume oystercatcher. :). I have favourite smells in different perfumes, not signature scents, I could never be so restrained nor sophisticated. One of the scents I adore is orange blossom, or even just orange. Orange is meant to be very uplifting, a ' happy ' scent. It reminds me of Rome in winter and heat in some places I went as a child in the states, which makes me feel its a clever smell, to span seasons and continents. :)

Kiwi and dog dog like flower too. They walk round the garden sniffing my roses and the lavender. Some months ago kiwi and fir and I were in the car and stopped at a services where there was lavender and kiwi stopped, stood on his little back legs to smell it and then we were allowed to continue to the widdle spot. ( he was more interested in looking for rats behind the rubbish bins though than weeing.) rats an lavender. That's my dog.

Its weird how little things make a difference to self-confidence. When I put my leather jacket on I instantly feel tougher and I know I feel sexier when I take the time to properly do my make-up rather than my usual 3 minute rushing out the door bb cream, mascara and blush. Homely as I am, I do have very pretty eyes which I need to accentuate more I think.

Dumbass dog does not approve of flowers and will therefore immediately roll in mud after a bath.

Oh no, he doesn't do BATHS. Or grooming, hates both, sadly, as his coat requires both.

My girls love both. In cluding dog dog, with no coat to speak of:rotfl:

I think most women have the possibility to look attractive. We have the armoury men don't in the way of hair styles, more leeway with clothes, make up etc.

But the thing that really shows I think is character. Many great 'beauties' aren't in the least 'pretty'. And lots of really attractive people are neither pretty nor beautiful if you look critically. They just are attractive people, in how they present them selves, in who they are, and that's something any one could choose to be, in how we present our selves and how we treat others and ourselves every day.
