I like your dog names oyster catcher!
Kiwi has used his secret route and come up with me after morning run and chickens etc. I feel better this morning but still shattered!
Was, sorry about things not being good today.
Those silly voices are very, very silly and misinformed. You've done a good thing for your health.
Take care.0 -
WaS, here's some Psychology 101.
One of the functions of a mother is to teach their child about separation. This is me, this is you, and this is what you can control, and this is what you cannot control. Your mother not only failed to do this (big time) but taught you that you were responsible for things that you had NO control over, including why some people did various penguiny things. You have NO control over these things, and many other things that happen around you and in the wider world.
As someone else cleverly said on this thread, you aren't that powerful. This is the bit a baby doesn't know, and was never properly taught to you.
And, sadly, you DON'T know what is about to happen. If you did, we could be a great team betting on the horses........:DEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Good morning WaS. Nothing bad has happened and even if it did, it wouldn't be your fault. Remember, you are not that powerful. And you do not have lung cancer. We all love you, you're a wonderful person.
Good morning everyone else. You are all wonderful too.
Dumbass dog is still sleeping. He's so lazy.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
WaS, you are not responsible for anything bad happening. You are not the cause of any impending doom.
Nothing whatsoever is going to go very wrong because of you; nothing at all is even going to go a bit wrong because of you!
On the contrary, lots of nice things have happened because of you! You have helped loads of people on this thread! It's a lovely thread and I really enjoy coming here! ::T
Those stupid voices! Tell them to go take a dive into Cynthia! They are just jealous because you are weaning yourself off cigarettes and onto the better e-cigs. They are losing their grip on you and so are being ridiculous in their attempts to reel you back in!
Well, you ain't no fish! Not to be reeled in!
Keep with us, WaS! Think of the sea, listen to sea sounds, pick up your stone and shells that you got at the beach!
And keep posting here, so that we can ground you. :A(I just lurve spiders!)

Just in case you don't have any sea sounds/video handy, here is one. It's nice 'cos you can watch the waves as well as hear them.(just in case you need the visual as well as the aural input for maximum effect !)

I think we've got some artists on this thread, haven't we?
Well, I've just invented something!
Was on a thread talking about the demise of the tax disc, and I thought it could be good for an enterprising artist to design some artwork, in the same perforated circle style as the tax disc, to go in the now-redundant disc holder on the windscreen. These could become collectable, as you could change the design every so often, if you want to!
They could be high art, or humerous, or topical, or even personalised!
I've called it..... discart
(didja see what I did there?)

That is a great idea Pyxis.
WaS, I know about the impending doom feeling, and I don't tend to experience that any more as I'm getting better. I wonder if these things feel worse to you when they occur because you are getting used to have less regular symptoms? That's what happened to me. That is a sign of healing. (But good on you for recognising the need for extra meds and more bed).
DH and I overslept this morning (after some early morning martial duties, so I am not complaining). We had an enormous rush to get DD to school.
DH was watching some baseball on ESPN last night - Kansas City and Oakland. During the match, the camera panned on to a couple in the crowd. The lady was holding a sign that said, 'If we win, he's buying me a puppy' with an arrow pointing to her beau. We checked the scores this morning and someone will be getting a puppy! Made me smile.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Another disturbed night last night. Not helped by Gitdog's happy wide awake smiling face at 4.30 am as I was nodding off again. Just wanted to say dibuzz and anyone else having less sleep than they would like has my complete respect for staying sane and not killing anyone. Or anything. How is it going dibuzz?
Today's job - check the baby gate.
Was, I got horrible chest problems for a few weeks when giving up smoking. And hardly anything in the years since. Well worth holding out for. Tell the voices to put it in their pipe and smoke it, if they're that interested in smoking themes. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I'd love to have Steff's little face greet me in a morning, even at 4.30am. I still miss her sneaking up the bed and putting her head on the pillow
I wouldn't say I was exactly same but I haven't killed anyone yet
I think I've just got used to it, I've stopped worrying about it as it doesn't help and try to just carry on as normal.14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140
