Reasons why I am very lucky and thankful-

Everyday I have 3 people who tell me that they love me. They never miss a day.
I have had a successful 25 year relationship that makes me happy everyday. That speaks for itself.
I have everyone here, I feel accepted, cared for and appreciated. I have never had that before. I have made some wonderful friends from this thread who I would hate to be without now.
I have had some wonderful professionals who have tried to help me and who have been incredibly patient with me.
I have had wonderful pets who have brightened my life every day and left their love in a paw print on my heart.
I have my independence even if it is isn't other people's normality, I am thankful for that everyday.
No matter what illness has taken from me it has never removed my sense of humour, I rely on that so much.
I am far better off than many people with similar complex conditions. I am deeply thankful that I am able to express clearly the help that I need.
I have a roof over my head and enough money to survive, many do not so I am very lucky indeed.
I can still achieve small goals for myself, even if they are things others can do easily.
I finally learnt how to be a child and I love every minute.
Despite my past being hard I learnt from it, it made me the person I am today and I'm not so bad.
I haven't had a real cigarette for 9 days and I love how things taste now.
I believe that I can still help and teach people. It is all I have ever wanted to do.
No matter what my past was I got out of it and got my degree and worked in a job I loved against the odds. No matter the outcome that can never be taken away from me.
I have Sir Pugliet to comfort me. As silly as that sounds I take him everywhere and probably pat him hourly. He is a reminder to me that I am not alone.

Don't mind me, I am counting my blessings today. I do have a lot to be grateful for. Feel free to join in if you would like, no pressure!

What a wonderful post. Have you heard of the 100 days of happiness? Every day you post something that has made you happy for 100- days is was a big thing on facebook with people using as their status. If you google it I am sure you could find the full details? Do you fancy doing it here? Anyone that wanted to could just add a comment as to what has made them happy that day when they post as normal.

#100daysofhappiness1 I have have had a lovely day pottering and playing with little one and that I can smell my fruit cake for cake class in the oven.

At least if it's that quick though, you don't have as much time to worry about it. Or does it not work like that? Are PALS any use for support in this sort of situation, can they do anything to make appointments easier for you?

As Gitdog's brain is pea-sized, he may carry on for longer, especially if you introduce titbits for each upward run! :D

Oi, stop dissing my dog! Having said that, he is not only is slightly lacking in the marbles department with the attention span of a gnat, he also has an extremely low boredom threshold. He's taken to napping in training classes now he's relaxed, which is not what we're meant to be there for.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Napping is good! Napping is way better than leaping around with boredom or disrupting in other ways with boredom.

( note, if you look at show dogs in the ring in big classes they are often allowed to nap along the line because staying switched On for the duration is hard work). He's saving his energy for leaping about elsewhere!

But that he can switch off I think is super positive!

Edit : I am trying to nap again and kiwi strongly disagrees. Problem is I am having problems with one of my eyes, This is because I'm over tired and I think because the med substitution isn't quite as effective for me, nothing horrid or painful. But potentially limiting.

As a result kiwi and the cats and I are now in my bedroom having a pre sleep 'nap' that is NOT restful.

    .

I will have to go alone which does not help! OH working a lot of overtime and i do not want to take little one needlessly into a hospital especially as its an hour drive each way, she will be bored and it clashes with nap time! So mum will be having her...

As it is such short notice (2 days) and everyone else at work no real choice bar going alone.

I'd like to be able to do that with my hair. If I get white hair I will. :). I often look at people with wonderful mixes of colour in their hair with envy. I was pink for a while, then red but it was better in theory than actuality. :rotfl:

I like rainbow hair. Violets and green, Pinks and tangerines.
