Re-posting of the Thread Etiquette!.........:starmod:......................................................................:starmod:.....................
Here is the suggested THREAD ETIQUETTE. By following this etiquette, all posters, whether new or existing, will feel safe, unpressured and respected..
- This is a thread for support. We have discovered some good friends on here, but we promise always to welcome and include new people, and not to be cliquey.
- People may make suggestions to help each other, and might even ask if the suggestions were helpful or have been carried out, but we'll really try not to nag each other or put too much pressure on.
- The normal board rules about sexism, racism, homophobia etc. apply, but if we are careful we should be able to discuss almost anything without breaching board rules - so far we have discussed subjects ranging from child abuse to incontinence!
-If someone thinks that too much pressure is being applied, they can post the trigger word PENGUIN and flag up the fact that they believe there's a potential for someone feeling too nagged to do something. ANYONE could post PENGUIN if they felt there was a danger that suggestions were being enforced too much.
- If you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.
"I would like to discuss something to do with [insert subject here], but I am concerned that this might be a trigger for some people. Is everyone OK if I post about that?"
Then LEAVE IT for at least an hour to allow people to respond. Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.
It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it (so please don't quote a penguin!)
PENGUIN
This is a penguin. A nasty, crotch biting penguin (CBT).
It isn't really, you can look.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozGTv0hxhpc[/url]
END OF PENGUIN
IMPORTANT: It has been ascertained that some posters to this thread have found that there are certain subjects which act as triggers, precipitating a worsening of their condition.
To protect these posters, you are respectfully requested NOT to discuss these subjects on this thread:-
Religion. (Please note: it is recognised that everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and we respect those beliefs. It is only because of the fact that religion does act as a trigger for some posters, that we exclude it from discussion.)
The afterlife. The reason for this is explained in this thread by one poster, and there will be others for whom this is a trigger.
We ask and thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
.........:starmod:.....................................................................:starmod:................
- More suggestions please.............We stress that we are suggesting that we AGREE some Thread Etiquette to HELP people who might feel anxious about posting, we are not trying to IMPOSE rules, just relating this to facilitating groups, so that people feel safe and able to participate as fully as they can.(I just lurve spiders!)

Hi Team WaS
WaS thank you for offering to come with me to the fair, that would be lovely, everyone could come :j Unfortunately I can only take 1 guestIt's not until October but I rang up & booked my ticket today (there's a small fee this time), the lovely man said that they'll be waiting for me tomorrow at the hospital. I was worried that everyone would snap up the tickets seeing as it's at a Football Club this time. The reason I'm so excited (my husband thinks I'm mad) is because when I first became ill I wrote a bucket list & going to a match was on it, but I couldn't justify spending over £50 on a ticket! Last time I went there was in the 70s
& it cost £2. So I'm so pleased to be going for just £2.50, I'm definitely a moneysaver.
Love monkey! Could we have more pics of the Team WaS Dogs please? I love to see them smiling & laughing.0 -

Not a dog but thought you might like this one instead.
This was a young person who stayed with us for a short time in spring. Cannot remember if it was this year or last year, I know thTs bad.
Waving bye bye as I put it out for an afternoon in the sun, I don't like them inside more than they have to be. ( would have been a warm afternoon though, was still rather wee )0 -
Pretty colour, LIR and I love it against the flowers and greenery.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

Good evening!
Achooooooooooooooo! Why did I wake up with a thumping headache and then sat up and started coughing and sneezing everywhere? This isn't fair, I don't go outside! I am glaring at WaSp, there is only one person who could have infected me! This is awful timing, I am meant to go for a check up on my eyes on Friday and they can't do it with a cold, the results won't come back properly for sinus issues. I shall probably have to rebook which means it won't be the same day as my psychiatric appointment so two trips out instead of one.
Aw, LIR Thank you for being considerate with the penguin and I hope today wasn't too hard for you. I still have my cats favourite toy 8 years later.
I love the chimp! What a perfect defender for us all!
The bird is so pretty! I love birds and spend hours watching them on webcams. We had a lot of birds while I was growing up although I can't say I agree with it as they were wild birds that my parents caged that should have been free. There is no way that would be allowed today. My favourite was called Sammy, he was a red pole who lived for years and used to peck my fingers and hair.
Any word on the funding bid, JM? Keeping everything crossed for you.
Good luck on your running, MU! I am so impressed that you can run that far! You have motivation I long for! I love the baby sloth, one of all time favourite creatures!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

It was this year. I've remembered. This spring. That was pear blossom, that tree now has lots of pears on it.0
