Elsien, I do feel so fond of your dog. I'm guessing running with him would be a step too far just yet?0

From the Reader's Digest. Don't know if it would work in England.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
On the subject of indoor gardening WaSp tells me I couldn't really grow things here because we have east and west facing windows and we need north to south? Is this right? All I have now is my java tree which I have been looking after for 15 years now.

Right. I'm posting it on here with the thought that if I tell people, I'm committing myself. If I don't mention it again, life got in the way. Or I've been attacked by zombies. Or something.
*Takes a deep breath.*
I'm going to attempt the first couch to 5k tomorrow morning. If I don't set a date, it's never going to happen. So depending on how much of a sod Gitdog is tomorrow morning, I'm going to try to fit it in before I give my neigbours a lift at 11.30.My next run is on Wednesday so i'm committing myself to it too!

OMG couch to 5k! sooo impressed! Can you actually do that with gitdog?
Well, today was a total nightmare with the bid. Did I say that I finished last night at 2.30 and started this morning just after 5.30? I can't say why things went quite so pear shaped (lolol stripey pear shaped! - I have never seen a stripey pear before!) for 'commercial confidentiality' reasons, but anyway I did submit before 5pm. I've been asleep since!Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

That's the longer term plan. I don't think he'd cope with alternating short bursts of running and walking at the moment. Too busy scavenging crab apples, plums, hips, and blackberries - you wouldn't believe I live in the middle of a town.
It is a pain though walking him for an hour then having to go out again for exercise. It'd be a lot quicker and easier if I could combine them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Well done, JM! I am so sorry that it took so much stress getting there, though! you will sleep well tonight!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I googled it, and http://www.ourhouseplants.com/guides/light tells me
East facing windows receive very good light levels and natural sources of heat without either being extreme. Some plants which thrive in the North facing aspect may also do well here, but it's likely they will need a little shielding perhaps from a blind. Don't be afraid to experiment with a East facing aspect, it's an good spot which a lot of plants will do well in, and others still, will adapt to.
There's loads of good stuff on that page, in fact!

Oooh, that's encouraging, JM! Unlike me WaSp grew up on various farms so tends to know more than I do. We have two east facing windows so that's hopeful! I would love to grow tomatoes and chilli peppers again at the very least.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I have a chilli plant. Nearly blew my head off the other day when the chillis turned from green to red and I put the same amount in the curry. I didn't realise they got so much hotter so quickly! All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
