May I shoot myself? My GP cannot comment without seeing me and believes I may need medication to control the TD so recommended we go to A&E! So lets see, I was put onto a high dose to try to counteract the fall-out from going out on Friday which has resulted me having to go out today for more treatment. To coin a popular internet phrase Epic Fail!

Wish me luck, it looks as if I am going out again. Pugliet is coming with me!

Hugs and good luck vibes being sent..

Dibuzz, have you tried any of the alternatives (to cutting) that were mentioned earlier in the thread?

Yes and I also have a few suggestions from my PWP but sometimes nothing helps.

We'll all be thinking of you WaS.

    Home again!

The wait wasn't too bad and for once A&E was almost empty which is almost unheard of. The doctor said to reduce the anti-psychotic level back to normal immediately, he looked quite concerned as in the grand of scheme of things I wasn't on a particularly high dose apparently, and I am sure they took an armful of blood. He then injected me with a different medication and we all waited for 20 minutes to check nothing bad was going to happen, you can never be sure with me!

The symptoms are better although will be around for a couple of days yet, I have 4 days worth of this new medication to take which should keep it at bay until it wears off and control any withdrawal from the sudden anti-psychotic drop. The new medication is another psychiatric drug among other uses, I won't say which one but I am sure it is searchable. If I go missing just presume I am fast asleep, the last thing I need is a new make-me-drowsy medication!

On the bright-side it was such a sudden trip out that I had little time to panic and pugliet sat on my knee the whole time, I think he enjoyed the evening out! I do believe that we can safely say that increasing medication after going out to prevent relapse is a disaster that we won't be repeating, the psychosis would have been over faster. Oh well, no harm done, back to the drawing-board!

Love the video JM! Did you know pugliet is a Webkinz toy with a secret code? You can use it to place him in a virtual world where you get a little animated cartoon version of him that you can feed, play with, dress, design a house for and take on quests. It is for 6-13 year olds. Don't ask how I know so much about it, I haven't been playing it at all <innocent look>.

Oh, and our water supply was apparently turned-off/broken/infested with aliens in my absence. Dying for a mug of tea...

I'm glad you were seen quickly and it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

    I still can't sleep :(

Hope dibuzz is now sleeping soundly. ((()))

Ooops, meant to tell you about the website. I didn't get as far as registering any of the little pugs I bought (did I mention there were 3 of them, and the other 2 send their love to pugliet? :o ) although I did explore the site a bit. Soooo glad you are having fun with it! The other 2 pugs are potential presents for two friends who are pug obsessed, but I'm not sure how I'll manage without them!

I really hope you got some sleep dibuzz, you have been awake for far too long. Have a hug or a warm handshake, whatever feels safest.

(In case anyone thinks I am odd for offering a warm handshake to people as well as a hug incidentally, it because on the mental health site that I used to manage there were several people who couldn't cope with the thought of being hugged so I used to offer both. It probably isn't necessary here but it doesn't do any harm to be careful, I don't wish to make anyone feel uncomfortable.)

I am rather enjoying the site JM! It is actually perfect for me because there are no potential triggers at all and I get to play a lot! Pugliet sends his love back to his friends, personally I think you should keep them (you know you want to really).

Today is quite the improvement on yesterday so yay! The movements and face screwing up are still there slightly but at least I am not falling over. In a small miracle nothing bad seems to have happened as a result of the new medication, I am not saying that too loudly or it might hear me. I am still very drowsy and not safe to do anything and my memory and concentration is still shot to pieces but after yesterday I feel positively healthy.

The only downside is in life news when the water came back on our toilet cistern seems to no longer fill up! I have no idea why that has happened? Airlock in the pipe, maybe? So now I need to email the landlord and get the handyman to fix it. I do wish things would stop happening. I am a creature of routine who is at her most comfortable when she can predict outcomes, random things stress me out considerably. It also means possibly altering carers appointments and making sure my partner is here at the time, as I shall be cowering in the bedroom during the whole thing. Our landlord has a habit of saying "The handyman will turn up this week sometime and let himself in if there is no answer." Oh no he won't! Sometime really doesn't work for me, I could be halfway through a bath with my carer or not have anyone here at all to answer the door. I hate to nag him and make him give me a set date but it is impossible without one. Argh!

Very, very basic DIY which I expect you have already done....

Take the top off the cistern and jiggle the ballcock around a bit. (Anything you can see that looks like a ball). With any luck the ballcock is just stuck, this will unstick it, and you'll hear the water flowing back into the cistern.

If that doesn't work, or in the mean time, chucking jugs of water down the loo is exactly the same as flushing it :D

OK, off on hols now. No idea what reception will be like, so don't worry if I'm not around for a bit :) Good luck with continued success with the meds :)
