Where about in America is your friend from WaS & how did you meet? Apologies if you already said. I can't remember a thing :o Sometimes I give out my Mom's phone number as my own or my first address ever, no idea where that comes from.
  • Thank you so much for being here. I am attempting to write to ground me and perhaps people can learn something too. I have a crushing headache, I am very shaky and I feel electric shocks every few minutes zapping from the top of my head down to my jawline. A lot of people don't realise that are also physical symptoms with schizophrenia and excessive dopamine, the chemicals affect the body as well as the mind.

I feel as if I am under a black fog, there is no hope, no way out. I feel sick with sadness and nothing seems real. I keep drifting into other worlds and struggling to get back, sometimes I think I have but then something odd happens and I realise that world isn't the real one.

This will continue until my brain dissipates the excess dopamine, so far I am not catatonic but it is close. The electric shocks are actually doing me a favour and snapping me back. I have taken extra anti-psychotics which work on reducing my dopamine production so at least there shouldn't be any more flooding my brain. Now it is a waiting game.

    Stay with us WaS.

Think of those lovely gentle waves, calming waves.

Think of the blue, and the turquoise.

    Give Sir Pugliet a squeeze.

This is the real world. You're here with us, and we're very real.

Stay in the here and now.

At the moment there are the Commonwealth Games on the TV. It's the high diving, synchronised pairs. Behind the diving boards are huge sheets and banners of a lovely blue, mirroring the blue of the pool. At times, the whole TV screen is filled with this blue.

And there's the water, cool, clear water of the pool.
And the beautiful diving of these pairs of men. It's like a ballet.
And always with the blue on the screen. Lovely.

So you've taken your meds to help deal with the dopamine and your educating us all on here how it feels from your perspective. Thank you for sharing, you will be helping others understand how this feels which is an amazing thing to be able to do. I really appreciate the knowledge I have gained from you WaS. I know all of team WaS feel the same.

WaS your experience sharing is touching more people than you can ever appreciate. All those lurkers who don't feel brave enough to share or are scared or ashamed about their mental health conditions. You are making a difference with every post you make in making mental health more understandable for us all.

I was walking Gitdog earlier and we got caught in a downpour. I could feel it splashing on my head and in my hair, and the wind got up and was blowing cool refreshing rain in my face. I could hear the rustling in the trees and smell the grass and the air smelled cool and fresh. It was this world and it was beautiful.
(I also know it was this world because Gitdog went off on one and left a hole in my leg, but that's a story for another time.)
Hang on in there WaS, this too will pass. Talk to us if you want to and say anything you want to that comes into your head.
