Today, peeps, I am being cultured and going to an art gallery as part of my cheer myself up week. Aim for the day - to keep my more philistine comments sotto voce, and to gag my mother when she goes off on one re modern art.

WaS , I'm hopeful of a foray into the CoD, or CoGA by the time I get back?.

    Edit - I like 3. I have to, I'm a triplet.:)

Enjoy your day of culture. Remember no day of culture is complete without being looked at disapprovingly by someone who takes themselves far too seriously and you must have tea and cake as there was no mention of it yesterday :D

Have a lovely day! And try not to strangle your mother!

Having close siblings must be really interesting. People probably have lots of expectations of multiples and their relationships.

I got nearly 7 hours. Also I have some time off next week.

I am sleeping less on the new tablets but feeling refreshed mostly.

Talking of sleep, how are you doing, dibuzz?

2 and 3/4 hours last night. The good news is I'm getting through my mountain of books and discovering new things to listen to.
I only skimmed yesterday's posts so will go back and have a proper read, just couldn't take things in yesterday.

I've been thinking about 3 too.

If you could say that the number 8 is the 'maternal' number, the 'womanly' number, due to its shape being that of the mature woman, then 3 is like an eight-in-waiting, a teenage 8, if you like, a developing 8! A young, budding 8!

Yes, three is a triplet. A triplet in music is lovely! It's three notes played in the space of two! When I was learning the piano as a child, I remember practising triplets over and over, and when I finally got it, I was SO pleased! Triplets are also a jazzy feature.
And who does not love a waltz rhythm? Start playing the 'Blue Danube' waltz and everyone starts swaying in time! It's a joyful rhythm, the rhythm of Irish jigs!
    A jolly rhythm!

And things in threes help each other. Two can work while one has a rest, then they can switch about. Two or one on their own would get very tired very quickly.

Even numbers make boxes, nice secure boxes. But a triangle can also be safe; it is enclosed, there are boundaries.
A box with four sides is nice, but a triangular box is also mysterious! Intriguing! Less predictable! And as for pyramids! They heal! They prolong life!

When I doodle, I often doodle geometric shapes, and more often than not, it's triangles. Interlock enough triangles together and they become a circle. Squares never become a circle!

    So, WaS, 3 is good!

So, I think that covers all the single digit odd numbers. Are there any double/multiple odd numbers you don't feel comfortable with?

By the way, Whitewing, thanks for the etymology of odd, I never knew that before! A sticky-out pointy thing! That's super! :)

I didn't know it before yesterday either.

A triangle is the strongest shape too - that's why you get so many in bridges.

And we will give 3 cheers to elsien for Backwards Birthdays. Many happy regressions.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Hope you had a good time elsien, & a Happy Birthday! Ooooh a triplet, how lovely! I once saw a trio of triplets walk into a kids clothes shop as another trio walked out, the look on their (& my) face was priceless.

Hi Team WaS, soz I went AWOL again.
