I did! I have a photo of it in its horror and I shall stick it on the cupboard once I have finished to hopefully stop it happening again!

There used to be an "odd sock drawer" on the landing for any member of the family who found an odd sock in their wardrobe. From time to time, I laid them all out on the bed and paired them up, my record is 22 pairs at a single matchmaking event. Then, when I realised the drawer was no longer needed, I ended up with 11 unmatchable socks, varying from a sheer stocking type thing through cheerful summer and boring grey to striped rugby. So I sold them on ebay. Yes, really, I sold a load of odd socks.Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.0

Hahahahaha that is hilarious, Solar! Now you having me wondering why people would buy odd socks and also wondering if I really want to know!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

When I was pregnant with my daughter, I popped to my parents' house. They weren't getting on and were niggling and sniping at each other, some of it to do with my DH's family. My mother kept dropping seemingly innocent comments into the conversation to try and get my dad into trouble with me. It backfired because I told her to pack it in. I made a comment about an event from long ago, not realising that she'd had an affair or that my dad did not know. She roared at me that I was a !!!!!.
Anyway, later that weekend, my body was buzzing. My skin felt itchy. My DH was painting the bathroom at the time and I thought that either he'd disturbed some mould or I was allergic to the paint. Over the next couple of days, I didn't want to get dressed. I didn't feel too bad but I would look at the sheets on my bed and not want to get in bed. I got tested and had obstetric cholestasis.
I am wondering if your psychotic episode is triggering a cholestatic reaction with you, WaS? I think it is hormone related. Cholestasis is something to do with bile salts leaking into the blood and being deposited under the skin around the body. There was no rash or anything. Just itchiness. But there is a proper biological reason for it which may help explain why you can't completely rationalise it out.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. That's really interesting, whiteing! I have never heard of that before and is worth me looking into, thank you.

If you are looking for craft project to use up items in your craft collection you could make sock monkeys and donate them to the charity shop to sell, or just rehome them as they are. Charity shops will sell cloth if items are not in good enough condition to sell as individual clothing items.
White wing might be brandishing the whip at me for making suggestions other than straight forward rehoming!0 -
No, chuck out things that are holding you back - not everything you own!
Well done on the empty shelf, WaS.
I'm not around much tonight as DH wanted the laptop.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
