Your workout seems hard as well WanttobeSE.
When I say I'm using weights they're only six kgs. That's all I can manage really.
It has kept the bingo wings away though . When I was initially losing weight I was a bit worried about what my body was going to look like , especially as I'm older (54) but it's not bad really and I think it's exercise that has made the difference. I'm one of those people who needs to exercise, I don't think I could stick to just eating less.
I agree about the sense of accomplishment. Feeling good mentally is just as important as feeling good physically.
I think 6kg is great to use. If I were using hand weights as opposed to machines I doubt I could do that!I want to join in with u guys, but 1 question and bear with me as it sounds really stupid

Hi sexyshark (love the username!)
Have you taken before and after photos? They work really well. its so easy not to see a difference in yourself, but easier when looking at photos.
I am only at the start of my journey, so am not sure how I will stay motivated..i'll let you know! 21lbs is an amazing achievement, well done.
So, tomorrow is weigh in day. I wonder if all this gym going will have made any difference.
Had a lovely swim this afternoon. Am shattered now, so cant wait for bed time!
I have the day off work tomorrow, so I will going to the gym in the morning before going to get more work supplies and then going home.0 -

Did you take measurements? Are clothes fitting different?
Tbh I feel like this too, I've lost just over 19lbs and I feel I look no different, my clothes tell me otherwise though0 -

Depends what you are lifting on the machine
Machines are often easier but it sounds like you're doing very wellSo, tomorrow is weigh in day. I wonder if all this gym going will have made any difference.
Just want to wish you look, if you STS or even gain don't worry0 -
I did physio today for the first time in almost a month, feeling it now but I did enjoy it, feeling more positives feel like im back

Three spready cheese, gherkin and quorn "meat" sandwich thins and a protein shake
Later my OH is making home made pasta bake

Can I join in
2012 I lost 4st. 2013 I had an op on my knee that knocked everything out of sync. I'm struggling with getting motivated now, when I lost the weight I cycled a lot, a lot of the time on my own, for some reason I just can't seem to get that enthusiasm back, I was cycling 10/15 miles a day, I'm struggling to do not much more than that in a week.
I can't afford the gym so that's out of the question just now.
I suspect I need a major kick up the rear!

Morning All
No weight loss to report this morning. It's my TOTM too, so that's probably why. No weight gain either though, which is good. Maybe I need to eat better. I thought I was doing a good job of that...I think not good enough.
So, back to basics with the healthy eating again.
Off to the gym this morning. See you all later!0 -

Don't be disheartened! Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to show on the scales. As long as you're feeling fitter and healthier, that's what counts! :j
I fell of the wagon last weekWent to the gym on Monday and then made excuses not to go for the rest of the week! OH and I ended up eating take away on Friday night and going out for food on Saturday.
I'm on earlies this week, so home by 3pm every day. Going to make sure I go to the gym (got 1 month before Race for Life) and cook some healthy dinners/leftovers for lunches. Can I join in

Well done Tink! Also pasta bake AND gherkins, amazing! Actually, anything with gherkins added tastes better! I usually have them in sanwiches and salads. I love pickled beetroot too, or anything vinegary tbh. Adds loads of flavour.
