well just weighed myself and for someone who is only 5' 3" I am a whopping 17st 7lb so onwards and upwards

    Onwards and downwards! :p

You say you can't stop eating certain "treats" THEN DON'T BUY THEM! It will be really hard at first, but if you want to lose weight then you have to use your willpower!

Are you planning on following a specific diet e.g. WW, SW, 5:2 etc?

    Good Afternoon everyone :)

Had another lovely workout at the gym today. It felt harder today, mainly because I am so bloated (period water retention) and sluggish. It'll pass when my period does, so its OK. I am just going to listen to my body and make sure I don't go mad.

I am not disappointed too much about no weight loss. Its fitness that I want, and that cant be measured on a scale.

Bunnie and sexyshark, come on, jump on the wagon with me, its fun (honest! :D). Is there anything that you think would help you to get motivated? I find that music is the best thing for me at the gym. I put my iPod on, plug my earphones in and zone everyone else out. I LOVE it!!

Also, I agree with no treats in the house. I have only recently allowed crisps back in the house for the kids. I literally cant stop eating them once I start, so none at all for me!

I am just about to make lunch- wholemeal pitta stuffed with falafel salad :)

    no following my own

I would highly recommend the "MyFitnessPal" app if you have a smartphone (they do have a website if you don't). You just put in your weight/height etc and it tells you how many calories you should be eating per day. You can then record what you've eaten in a food diary by searching for the items in their database or scanning an item's barcode wih your phone. My OH lost quite a lot of weight using it, and it's free! :)

Calorie counting isn't for everyone, so each to their own! You could start by just cutting out the junk food and drinking plenty of water etc.

Should be at the gym by 3 today! Need to focus on my 5k run coming up. Then making quiche, salad and new potatoes for dinner tonight. Will hopefully have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Might make myself a batch of potato and hard boiled egg salad too. Spending far too much on lunch at work! :(

Hi Bunnie, thinking of you and hoping you're currently at the gym!

Cant remember if I mentioned it, but my workouts have actually been easier mentally the last few times, and I think this is due to music. It really has made a huge difference! I put a mix of fast and slower sings on my iPod. The faster ones are a Godsend while I am stomping away on the treadmill, and the slower ones (although not too slow!) are great for the cool down when I have finished working out, or when doing the weights.

I tend to find around my TOTM that my appetite just seems insatiable I feel constantly hungry no matter how much fruit/veg or water I consume. Does anyone else have this and could offer some advice (mine is due this week and can already feel the hunger pangs). Don't really want to eat back my 2lbs loss this week.
That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

I have the same problem! I have been making sure that I have plenty of fruit and raw vegies to snack on. To be honest, NOTHING hits the PMS spot like a huge bar of Dairy Milk Whole Nut for me...but I try to resist! I have severe choc cravings at the moment due to my period too, so I feel your pain!

Running around in the mud- that sounds fun! Was it like a bootcamp style thing?

Hi Bunnie, thinking of you and hoping you're currently at the gym!
Sorry for the late reply, I was indeed at the gym! I managed to run 2.5km on the treadmill in 20 mins (had a 5 min walk in between) so pretty pleased with that! Puts me on course to run my 5k in 40 mins :)

I feel your pain! Try buying some fun-sized bars (how fun are they really? :p) so you can have some chocolate without going mad?

Yay, well done (I tried to insert some clappy emoticons, but they aren't working for me)!! That's a great time too!

So, when are you going next? :D
