Hello! Can I join please! I have been into fitness and diet on and off for a while now, but find it hard to keep consistency going...particularly with diet!! I LOVE to treat myself and I love crisps and having a wee drink at the weekend!!

I had a car accident last week and went back to the gym for the first time last night. I did a body balance class and absolutely loved it...however I had 4 packets of crisps when I got home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! I am such an addict!

Today I have eaten well so far...going to mum's for dinner as my OH is away on business...not sure what I am having but it will be free! (very MSE!!) Don't think I will be able to get to the gym tonight, but I am considering starting to try doing some home HITT based workouts for days like today when I won't make it to a class. There are lots available on the internet! Or even a 30 min run in the sunshine might be nice later this evening. I will have to see how I'm feeling later on as I am still getting over the trauma from my RTA.

My main challenge as always is my crisp addiction :(

LARP is so much fun. I'm on a couple of the videos, hehe!

15kg is not that much when you build up to it. I have faith :)

Hi LisaJane :) Sorry to hear about your RTA, how scary. Were you badly injured?
I feel your pain with the crisps addiction! I am the same with chocolate!
I am trying to do some ab exercises at home, but I am not doing very well so far! Any chance you could link some HITT exercises from YT? I have no idea what HITT is, or if I should be doing it!

Thanks for the faith :) I am determined to get stronger, so I see this as a really good achievement to aim for.

Diet has been OK today. Toast for brekkie, cereal bar straight after my workout, followed by ham salad pitta for lunch.
Just had a mini treat, a few crackers with cheese spread on.
    Tonight will be spag bol.

I think I eat too many carbs, but I need them, especially as I am exercising at the gym 4 times a week. if I don't eat carbs, I am feel incredibly hungry.

More protein? Could you eat some chicken or cottage cheese instead of the cereal bar?

I love carbs but they make me so bloaty!

Actually, that's a good idea about getting more protein, thanks HBS.
I am going to google protein sources, as the only one that I know is chicken!

On the days that I am not at the gym (Tues and Thurs) I could lay off the carbs so much and have a protein based lunch and breakfast. All I do is some light swimming on those days, so don't need the carb hit as much.

Thanks HBS, I googled it and came up with some surprising results (almonds and spinach- I had no idea!).

I am thinking that I could have something like a ham omelette, egg on toast, chicken salad pitta etc for lunch. I don't know if it makes any difference if I do low carb on the days I have off the gym..i am not sure. Should I be making protein the base of lunch or diner EVERY day? I am confused.

    Good morning All :)

Another day at the gym today. I am making the most of being off :) I am hoping to push myself a little harder than I did yesterday, even if its just by a few minutes.

Breakfast will be porridge with banana and PB.
I am not home at lunch time, so will pack a ham salad sandwich to take with me.

    Have a great day everyone!

I forced myself to the gym yesterday, but I could only manage 12 mins of running (was supposed to have a break and then do another 12) I did a few mins on the exercise bikes, but I really just didn't have the strength/motvation to do it :(

Today is supposed to be a rest day, but I'm tempted to try again, as I only did half of my training plan yesterday. It's my TOTM so all I've done is pig out on sugar the last couple of days. Last night I ate 2 Viennese whirls and a white chocolate magnum after dinner :o

Yeah Bunnie, I totally feel your pain. I have been craving sugar too and had about 6 choc biscuits last night.

Are you used to running? If not, maybe you need to start with walking/fast walking on the treadmill?

Looking online at some stuff, it says that you need to listen to your body and if you don't feel up to hardcore stuff during your TOTM then just to take it down a notch. That's why I didn't push myself too much yesterday.

So how about going for fast walking at an incline, instead of running today?
