Classic sign of someone losing the argument. 'Well other people agree with me.' and 'I'm not the only one who thinks this.'
Nope, it's the truth, and it's plain to see above. It's funny you should pipe up, because as I was reading Soliel Lune's post, the posting style reminded me very much of your posting style. Both of you have blinkers on when it comes to respecting other people's views....it's either your way or the highway.
This may not be true IRL, but it's very much how your posts come across. What happened to live and let live? People want to change their name....people don't want to change their name. People have joint bank accounts....people don't (and therefore must be hiding something according to you) have joint bank accounts....catch my drift? It all comes down to individual choices, and those choices should be respected, and someone shouldn't be told they are wrong because of the choice they make.0 -
Well almost a whole page without someone taking a pop at me!
Must be my birthday or summit.. lol0 -

Wouldn't he be doing just as much 'giving up' as you though? Turn it around, would you give up the love of your life because they wanted to get married and you didn't?0 -

Funny you should say that: because your posts remind me of PlymouthMaid who coincidently happened to agree with your post right after you posted it earlier, (top of page 11) and she said almost exactly the same as you said. Funny that.
You are clutching at some seriously weak straws to try and strengthen your argument, by trying to discredit other posters who have the temerity to say things you don't like and don't agree with.
Whittering on about how others agree with you so much and now making sly hints about how I sound like another poster.
Lame. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:(•_•)

I think that's what I'm (slightly drunkenly) trying to say...I don't believe that someone should give up love for the sake of a ceremony, and I don't think someone should feel forced into a contract they don't want.
Love (and sense!) above all else.

He wouldn't 'be' the love of my life, if he didn't want to get married.
It's just me and just my opinion. I am not having a go at anyone. I am just saying that I couldn't be with someone who didn't want to get married.0 -

I'll actually take that as a compliment. PlymouthMaid sounds a lovely lady!0 -

Its not a ceremony, its a powerful legal agreement.0
