she is 5,has she been told the correct way to wipe herself,a few pieces folded over then a few more to check she is clean maybe she just needs a lesson,no need to make a fuss,you could also tel her too much will block the toilet and it costs a lot to get it fixed.0

Stop providing it and write on an empty that they should use the shower…
It amazes me how much some people flush away, setting your routine so ones daily poo can be dealt in ones morning shower makes a huge difference. Anything thereafter either gets taken care of at work or if more than a 4 sheet job justifies another quick shower. Perhaps most cost efficient when living somewhere bills included to be fair.
Alternatively those glossy takeaway fliers have a good edge for an initial scrape the worst off before a polish with the paper.0 -

The little girl is 5 years old...0 -
I've got to say, is it really worth it? The child is 5. She is with her dad and stepmum for a few days (I'm assuming - it is half term after all), presumably not feeling 100% relaxed as she isn't at home; wouldn't it be possible to leave this issue and address it another time? Maybe mention in passing to everyone the possible risk of a blocked loo if it's that serious, but otherwise not. The child will end up thinking her every move is being watched and perhaps not feel very positive about that....0

I totally understand why some think the OP is being off about rationing loo roll, but I think excess use causing blocked toilets is a problem and OP is right to try and find a way to tackle it.0

I had the same problem with DD but I bought some kids wet wipes and explained one is more than enough and that did the trick no big lectures needed0

Prefer them to clean themselves properly and grow up without toilet anxiety of any sort :-D. They've never blocked the loo yet due to excessive use and I haven't had to remortgage to cover the cost of toilet roll so far :-).

Clearly your children to not use an excessive amount. Good for you, but that doesn't help OP much.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
At school we have toilet roll holders that only release one sheet at a time! They must save the school a fortune in toilet roll!
My DH uses too much loo roll, so I suggested he take his daily poo at work!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

This has to be the squickiest thing I've read for a long time. Ew!
What do you do withe the poo covered glossy flyer? You can't flush it.

My DD is nearly 5 and I quite often tell her not to use so much toilet roll (although I am usually grateful if she has deigned to wipe herself instead of yell out "I'm all done" in the expectation that I will wipe her).
Why on earth would a grown adult think telling a 5yo to use less loo roll would upset them?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
