How can I ration toilet roll??

I can see why her dad doesn't want to upset her - as she obviously doesn't live with her dad and this is when she visits.

Ask your other half if he minds if you have a quiet word and discuss what he thinks is ok to say - so no big upset ensues.

She is young but shouldn't be blocking the loo. Gently discuss with her.

Simply put a pencil mark or some sort of marker on the wall under the toilet roll to indicate where to pull the length of toilet roll you want them to use.

Why not take her shopping for her own toilet roll to use only for herself? The puppies one or a special colour all her own.

Then, rather than hang it on the roll holder, show/teach her how to tear off and fold the required number of squares per 'wipe' (for want of a better word), I'd say 2 squares is enough for most makes.

She could do this in preparation for a visit to the loo, make a game of it with her. She can then take her little pile of readymade wipes in with her, to use one at a time 'til she feels clean.

Does she know to check the paper to see when it comes away clean and the job is then done?

Take a rectangle of 2 sheets of paper and fold in thirds. You get three layers of paper in a neat package, easier to hold, just the right size. This is how many people manage with just 2 sheets at a time - it works!

I do the toilet roll in the bottom of the toilet thing to reduce noise, some women sound like a racehorse when they go to the loo at work!! I use more toilet roll at work because its free, about 6 foot at a time, at home four sheets ish for a wee, 10 ish for a poo, ive always wiped back to front, and never caught anything. Our household goes through millions of rolls a week, i can go upstairs in an afternoon, and three rolls have gone in a day.....i've had my hand round the U bend more than once....

People use the amount they require a according to their bowl habits and also in women's cases periods.
Controlling toilet paper is a step too far as we don't all require the same amount.it is possible the food is not suiting her therefore she needs a lot to clean up.
I would also say see a doctor about control issues!
