    I hate Kipling bags and I'm 32.

I'm your mum's contemporary and love Kipling bags too.

Another thought if your mind's not completely made-up yet; does she have an e-reader or tablet? I bought a Kindle for a friend a few years ago and she was so pleased it didn't take long before I treated myself to one. And though initially I didn't see the point of an iPad, now I'd grab mine if the house was on fire (cat under the other arm)! The best thing about both of those - taste or size don't enter the equation.

    HTH :)
She has an ipad and i expect she has an ebook reader on that. Kipling bags seem popular with women on here so i hope i cant go wrong there.

    Ditto at 47!

Also loathe Cath Kidston and Radley. For practical bags I like Orla Kiely, but OPs Mum doesn't like leather and all her bags are trimmed with it.
