Why does your life revolve around facebook?

I loved the scene in Big Bang Theory when one of the characters posted an untrue statement on Facebook and was challenged about it.

'The internet is not the place for truth' was his defence.

Agree with everyone else. I wouldn't even meet her and just move on with my life honestly.

Easier said than done, been there and still wearing the t-shirt 4 years on.

Desperate for information. Understanding. Facts. Maybe an opportunity to vent a little anger too.

Having been fed lies for over a year seeking any source of detail is understandable and Facebook, this forum etc is helping in a strange way to provide this.

When you're head's all over the place you flail around wildly trying to fit things into place. After a time there maybe a realisation that some answers will never be found because often they don't exist (and knowing where they did it etc really doesn't achieve much, but at the outset you want to know everything). But there's a process to go through to get there.

I'm also quite a fan of outing an illicit relationship as loudly as possible. Facebook is ideal for that. It removes the main feature of a typical affair - secrecy.

Once the excitement of that secrecy is gone the naughty couple often realise their relationship is a sham based on lies and little else.

Totally agree. Facebook is where I found my OH's OW. From the subtle things he was leaking about her built a picture and once I had a real gut feeling he was seeing her I sought her out on Facebook asked her outright if she was having sex with my husband to be confronted with no and immediately blocked me. That small action gave me all the validation I needed. Facebook stopped me going nuts.

    What?

If you'd asked me the same question, I'd have given the same response... does that mean I am also cheating with your husband?

People should show a bit more restraint and have a bit of dignity... Using Facebook like that is the online version of shouting like a fishwife across the street.

More normal people would have asked why do you think that instead of NO!!!!!!!! immediately followed by being blocked. I forget to say I was watching her husbands Facebook account too and when his status changed from married to separated that gave me the green light to contact her. Lots of little subtleties lead to a much bigger picture which proved my gut instinct correct.

And I did it all without shouting like a fishwife too! :-)
