Might pay me, I have already a dish and standard sky box, tho don't subscribe to Sky.
BUT can't get Channel 5 now and the NEW viewer card and another box is worth something. Plus 2 sky channels for 6 months.
Do what I did. Pay Sky a one off fee of £10.00 for this you get a freesat viewing card. You will then be able to watch the above channels.0 -
What will the cost be after the initial 6 months?0

I cancelled my Sky contracts a few months ago and now just use the box for the terrestrial channels plus ITV2, BBC3 etc.
Looking at the channels listed in this offer, I'm not tempted at all. As other posters have said, most of what Dixons are including in this offer is utter garbage. They'd have to pay me to watch it, not the other way round...0 -
I'm on the basic sky package of £15/ month. I'm moving in 2 wks time, so I want to cancel my contract with sky. The contractor who connected my sky package has agreed to move the bits to the new address as a private job for £20. I also intend the wife to get the £79 package in her name at the new address just so we can watch in our bedroom upstairs as well. Any ideas?0

with virgin I've got 1gb broadband for £14.99 and tv/phone (free eve&wkend) for £16.50, total £31.49pm - I don't think it's too bad, is anyone in the same boat and have you found anything much cheaper?:j0

Who watches all this stuff? It's only TV!! Switch the damn thing off and go for a walk before your heart gives out!!!
To keep SWMBO happy - one Silvercrest SL65 satellite tuner from Lidl for £40. Another £20 for a dish and LNMB on eBay (I could have had one for £5 a week later if I'd cared top take it off a disillusioned neighbour's wall). Another £4 (Lidl again) for a wee detector box for lining up the dish - everything connected and working in an hour.
And it gets 90-odd% of everything on that Sky list - for free. No contracts, no phone connection, nothing to worry about.
Not that I care - as far as I can see all it gives me is a multiple of the sh|te I've been switching off for years anyway. But it keeps the family happy.0 -
Just ordered my sky package from Dixons. How do they arrange for installation? No one asked me on line about that, just delivery of the package. tia0
