Hi I have freesat from sky (got it last week by plugging my old sky box into the existing cables) but wondered if there is a way when changing channels on the remote, just to get the channels that are 'active' so I do not have to trawl through the scambled channels? Any help would we great...

You're stuck trawling through the channels you can't get I'm afraid, that's be the advantage with the boxes manufacters will offer under the Beebs FreeSat banner where you won't have this problem.

as suggested you can use the favourites option but not ideal
  • with virgin I've got 1gb broadband for £14.99 and tv/phone (free eve&wkend) for £16.50, total £31.49pm - I don't think it's too bad, is anyone in the same boat and have you found anything much cheaper?:j
Mmmm.......Virgin...... 8mb with free weekend and evening calls (and free modem).....£14.99:j

After 6 months you loose the Variety and Mixes packages, which have the only channels worth watching, unless you want to pay a monthly fee. I think I'll stick with Freeview.

Existing customers of Sky who are outside of their 12 month contract do not have to pay anything to get this Sky Sat deal. All you do is cancel your contract and the equipment ,card etc will still work giving you the free service.

    1. The £75 offer requires you to have the digibox permanently plugged into a phone line. If a phone line is not present at the box, the installer will run a line to the box (albeit rather shoddily). If you pay £25 extra, you can have the install without a phone line.

Once the installer has gone you just unplug the phone line there is no need to pay the extra £25, just get him to lay the cable loose and tell him you will fix to the wall later (just dont bother)
