Had my little box of tricks delivered this morning and have tried the telephone number three times.
Supposed to have waiting time of less than five minutes, I have waited more than this each time and still no answer.
Tried their alternative customer service number, but they won't help, they say they don't know anything about this offer.
Any suggestions please?0 -
has anyone manage to purchase this in the last couple of days? I've tried numerous times on the Dixons and Currys websites only to be told it's out of stock. The Dixons web site people didn't know when it'd be in stock again either.0

I picked up a box from Asda (Doncaster) this morning.
0870 number to arrange installation gave a hold time of 31 minutes, so I tried the 'saynoto0870' alternate and they didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I told the agent that I was unable to access an 0870 number on this phone - so her suggestion was to find a phone box or use a mobile!!
Will try again tomorrow, but can't help feeling ripped off - If no luck tomorrow it's going back to Asda....0 -
Well my subs channels are cancelled and i cant view them but Sky+ still works0

can this offer (£79 'No Commitments' Package from Sky) be purchased through the sky website?!0
-
I have just booked my installation for next week, and I suppose it took about 20 minutes from the initial call to saying goodbye.
Anyway, there are a couple of things that you might like to know. You can get Sky+ for the extra cost of £99, I am assuming that is all you have to pay, but I didn't take it, so don't know completly.
The offer states that you get the variety and knowledge mix, but you can actually choose any 2 mixes, so there's Variety, knowledge, kids, style, music and news.
Also they said that you must have a phone line connected for the 6 months, and you must sign up for a direct debit mandate, otherwise you may find your offer cancelled.
Anyway, I found them very helpful and I thought the fact that they can come out next week is really good.0 -
Well my Sky+ stopped working looks like you do have to subscribe to get this feature or pay £10 per month for it.0

I phoned Sky at exactly 8.45am today and got through straight away.
My sky is being installed next Monday.
I told them I didn't want to give my bank details and the lad I spoke to said that was ok, when I receive a mandate through the post just throw it away, it is not compulsory to sign it, so different info being given regarding pay to view.0 -
Phoned Sky yesterday at 5.30, and got through within a few minutes. installation booked for Monday morning. I have also been told the direct debit mandate does not need to be completed, only for pay per view. The equipment will need to be connected to a phone line, even though the Dixons website indicated this would be optional.
Hopefully it'll be a new box, and not a reconditioned one.0 -
Got my wife's new viewing card this morning, also got a letter and a Sky Contracts Booklet! I quote from the letter" A few things to bear in mind when reading your Sky Contracts Booklet enclosed with this letter: as a Sky Pack customer, your minimum subscription term is only 6 months, not the usual 12 months that means 6 months is also the minimum period you need to keep your viewing card in your box and have your phone line connected as set out in the Interactive Discount Contract."
 So much for the bit on the pack that says under the heading - What you'll get with this pack... "No contract = no monthly fee". If that is not mis representation I don't know what is - unless of course you know different.0
