£75 'No Commitments' Package from Sky Plus free Ipod/Payg Mobile/Phones/Hi-fi

I managed to get hold of two of the "Pay once watch forever" deals in Asda last week - unfortunately one of them had the card missing & when I phoned Asda to explain they checked and all their stock had the cards missing which they put down to theft!
I checked with Asda customer services and was told it was being re-launched in October ( presumably packaged more securely!).
When I phoned SKY on Friday to book the installation I was told their computer system was down & had been for several days and they would get back to me - I am still waiting!

Am I being overly suspicious in doubting that their system would be down for this length of time?

I don't think you are, more like they've probably not bothered. I'd call them back to book a date.

It was the superstore at Boldon (near Sunderland) but please remember all their stock was minus the all-important card so cannot be sold. I've had to return the one I bought without a card (possibly even more frustrating to get it in my hand and then find it was useless than to not be able to get hold of one!) but at least I have the other one which was to be a present for my sister so she is the one who is missing out.
I think I unintentionally hi-jacked the asda staff - I phoned at 1am and went over at 2am - they had mentioned they were away in a cupboard which having now read all this thread makes me think they had already been withdrawn but nobody had told the night staff and I hit lucky by getting the only one of the ten that still had its card in.

:T So it's in their cupboards then... Will wait till Oct.

As ASDA is not near, it would be great if anyone who finds it in Oct could post here so that I could sprint over;)

I bought this offer last Wednesday, I've telephoned every day since to arrange installation and each day they tell me the computer system is down. Last call was last night and it was still down - after 6 days ???? Something not quite right here.......

I have had the same problem - bought on Saturday 8th September (ASDA in Ashton under Lyne) - phoned that day - told 'computers down' - they would phone back - no call - chased again today - 'computers down' - we will call over next '3 to 4' days .....still waiting

Their computer is not 'down' as such, but having problems since the price rise in Sept (2 mixes rised £2 to £17).
