Ive ordered this a few days a go but i thought i was getting something delivered so i payed premium for the delivery (9 quid) as i work so wanted it delivered at early in the morning. But i didnt receive anything! Only a letter (not really a letter, more a notice) a couple of days a go which had my unique reference number.

Can i get my money back do you think? its very deceptive.

Oh, I spoke to a guy at sky earlier and he said that it would cost me £55 if i didnt have a phone line (which i dont). Im confused. It says on teh Dixon webiste £25.

Im really not happy with what Ive seen so far.

Here, here. I phoned up today - no problems, lovely lady, gave all the details at a nice pace, answered all my questions. Having it installed next Wednesday!

  • How much does it cost to watch a movie using 'pay per view'? I can't find this information anywhere.
    Cheers

Edit: Phoned Sky as I couldn't find the information anywhere. The guy on the phone didn't know either so was kept on hold til he contacted customer services (thankfully I was using the 01506 831781 number instead of 0870 which I found on saynoto0870). I was told it was £3.95 if ordered via the tv, or £4.95 if ordered over the phone... no guesses which way I'll be doing it as a MSE fan!

Well guys It seems like the offer is back on I just placed my order yesterday with free Ipod Gift.

    Hope it all guys well.

My only concern is the the dish would go on the back wall and the TV is in front room so it is going to be a long run of cable I hope than do give me hard for it.

    hi just an update really.

we now have the package and at the time of ordering, i ordered an extra mix but when it was installed and the channels didnt come on, i rang sky to be told that i wasn't allowed to do that as it would void my contract-why tell me i could do it in the first place then??!

anyway i have my two mixes.

on the day of installation, the guy came at 5pm and not between 8-1 as agreed. so double check this and ring sky the day before.

re my postal charges-dixons refunded me (read earlier post-basically i paid for premium delivery and nothing arrived-well i got a leaflet type thing with my reference number a couple of days earler-i was not gonna pay 9 quid for that!).

tbh, i really got sky cos our tv reception is very poor-so thats sorted i suppose.
good luck! trust me you need it with sky-what a shoddy customer service-they have no idea!

    Nothing has changed then!
Saturday just past the post brought another of Sky's monthly invoices with a nil balance as expected, as having paid up front we do not owe them a bean.

However it also contained an insert slip implying that they are going to charge us £4 on each invoice as we do not have a Direct Debit set up - they are not going to get it, as they have no need (except for their own creaky accounts system) to invoice us for anything as we have already paid!

As I have posted previously and for the benefit of those that may not have read the entire thread - keep all your correspondence, leaflets, implied contracts etc. until well after the six month period has elapsed in case these shysters try it on in other ways.

Well guys I am feeling frighten now with the trouble you guys have been having

may be I should just cancel it with Dixon only placed the order last night

Considering Dixon customer service not sure how easy/hard that would be.

Don't do that, the product is okay.
Just read the thread from page one and be guided accordingly.

Hi We have lousey tv reception here and no channel 4. Freeview does not work as I bought a box to try. If you get this box (which is now offering a £39 gift free with it until Wednesday by the way) can I go through Quidco and sky or quidco and Dixons? Sorry this might sound daft to those of you in the know. Also keep contemplating getting a new place to live so will that be a total waste of money? Would I have to pay for reinstallation again? Sorry I am not very techie minded and it is all so confusing to me. We do not watch much tv but what we watch looks like snow and when it is snowing, or gale blowing we get no reception. Thanks all Taffy
