I haven't been on here or this website in such a long time, I need to keep a tighter rein on my budget now that we have move house, bigger mortgage means we will have less free money.
Can i sign up for the grocery challenge please?
My month will start on the 15th of each month because that's when DH is paid, (we try not to use my wages). I have started making my list in readiness for tomorrow and the weekend shopping. I have just been buying what we want when we want it for ages and it's getting a bit silly.
Do I have to set an amount? Not sure how much i have been spending but it's probably in the region of £300 - £400 per month.
At home is me and DH, due to work DH is only at home from Friday to Sunday and my youngest daughter is at home occasionally as she is at uni, so i'm spending far too much!!August Grocery Challenge (15th)0 -
Since I last posted and thought I wouldn't manage my budget for this month, I might be able to now.
I have not had to go shopping so I am hoping with the little I have in I can last until Saturday for the 2 of us. I have some of the Morris0ns vouchers today so that should help.
I will have more to report this weekend!! xxDebt Free - Now time to look to the future! :T0 -
Managed to get a Sun paper today in Asda, did a little shop then walked over to Morrisons to get my meat. Only bought a few things I needed.
Really need to tighten the reins as had to buy clothes for DD and DS, they both needed the next size up and as we are heading towards the colder part of the year I got clothes suitable for the change of weather i.e trousers instead of shorts. Still need a few more items but that will have to wait.Stay at home Mum to DS Oct 2011 and DD Dec 2013

Well spend of £17.01 in Morrison ... had 2 meat vouchers so topped up with meat for the kids (I don't eat meat so veggie vouchers are more for me)
I have even managed to get another 2 vouchers from family who arnt using them so will stock up a bit more when I pop to the town centre tomorrow ... meat should last a few month at least
Doing really well with the budget this month but we have been on holiday for a few days ... still I only have meat to get with the vouchers and probe need some more veggies/fruit on Monday.

Just a small top up shop today for under £14.
I'm a bit unsure what is happening for meals next week as I'm off work (yeah!) and my Mum and Step Dad are over. They aren't stopping with us though, so hopefully we'll share cooking meals over the week. I should know more over the weekend and then I can do a proper meal plan.
I'm still looking to get under budget for the month, which will make me a happy shopperSPC # 348 2014-£169.07/2015 - £156.89

Another £3.85 spent today at the 24-hour Turkish shop. Loads of herbs, big tub of greek yoghurt and a couple of oranges. Very happy that they've got rid of all their Israeli stuff, even though that was a huge amount of what they sell. I'll make a point of shopping there more often now.
This challenge will get tougher next week when the new Sainsbury's Local opens up 2 minutes' walk away. At the moment, all the food shops are about a mile away. I think today's shop would have cost at least triple at Sainsbury's, so must resist the temptation!
Only just managed to resist the temptation to phone for a curry tonight. It's that kind of evening.

Went to Morrys and spent 61p. I bought 4 Oykos yogurts £1.09 but used a £1 off voucher that I get each month from Danone's newsletter. 6 apples, 2 litres of milk and a bag of tortillas chips...had a £2 off voucher so used that as well...so total was 61p.GC - Oct £36.17/£31
