    Well done you!!
Such a good feeling, when you know your hard work has had a purpose!

So far this month I have spent £1.69, and I shouldn't need to shop until the 7thish. The children are with their dad from the 4th until the morning of the 8th, so a shop on the 7th is planned so I am prepared for their return.

    Have a good weekend, everyone!

  • Oops!!!! off to a rocky start. Had a couple of stressful days so called in at C*** on way home of work on both days and managed to spend £30.58:eek: food for 2 evening meals and lunch for me yesterday! That will teach me as I usually leave my debit card at home so that exactly what happened doesn't - no willpower when I am tired.

That amount should have been budget for the week:o but hey ho just means the rest of the month will need to be a little tighter.

At the moment trying to decide to make the effort and go M******* to use the coupon or shop with Sains***** online as I have free delivery. Will make a decision after I have had breakfast.
  • After a long break from the forums I'm back with fresh determination... I'm going for £150 for August please - that's for all food and toiletries for me and ds and our cat :) thanks to all who create and maintain the thread - GC has always worked for me, keeping tabs on spends is the only way to make sure I stick to it x

£10.23 already spent out of my RED £120 (colours not working today). Very well stocked up on frozen, dried and some tinned foods. I won't need any toiletries for a long while either so only fresh fruit and salad etc., milk and bread required. This is a five week month so will have to try for a spend-free weekend somewhere along the line.

First spends today! Spent just over £70 including a few treats at a farmer's market which should do us for at least 7 days including cats, toiletries, cleaning products, lunches for work for the week etc. :) A really good start I think considering we usually spend £75 on our weekly Saturday shop; small steps!

Up to now this month I have spent £67 of the £70 that I took out of the bank from my grocery allowance. Freezers stocked up with Morrisons meat (I had 6 MOCS) which took £30 out of my £70 and a tesco shop so should now be ok until next weekend barring milk, veg and bread (think I may make some bread in my breadmaker) Next week hope to spend a lot less as we will be living out the freezers thank you mr morrisons!! Iv seen people saving for doing bulk buying, I must get myself a system as I sometimes go over my monthly budget because of a great bulk deal I have seen, what do others on here do? do you have seperate budget for bulk buying, Iv read people talk of a "second purse" so that may be something I may have to look at. Happy MSE shopping..

Just did the weekly shop, which we usually do on Monday evenings. Had a £15 off £60 shop from Sainsburys, so we decided to use that. It's being delivered on Monday evening. Spent £47.79 in total, which I'm happy with :j
