  • Morning All. Special hello to physicsgirl, I hope things start getting better for you soon. I was off work in Feb due to stress so I know how hard it is, sending hugs.

Only thing bought so far is a loaf of bread which could have been avoided if I'd got off but butt and made some. Dinner tonight will be steak (from freezer) and Mashed potatoes. Tomorrow night we are going to my mum's for dinner and then I will be away for a few days.
  • I've fallen off the wagon completely but getting back on it this month. Can you put me down for £300 please for July, this if for 2 adults, 2 children, plus child-minded children some days. Freezer is quite well stocked and got some things ready to harvest in the garden too. Going to send the boy fishing in the hope of a few free fishes too. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and can barely eat a thing so should be do-able!

I've been on my July month for over 2 weeks now with a budget of £180

I have done my 3rd weeks shop this morning and paid out just over £20.
Other than milk and some fruit I should get through the week on £10 at the most I'd think.

I menu plan by looking at what has been in thr freezer the longest, then I decide what to make with it. That way the freezer gets rotated and we don't waste anything.

    Hiya, can I join in?

Am planning to try and hit £500 for July. I'm not entirely sure where our starting point is, as there are 9 of us plus 3 cats and a dog. But I know we've survived in the past on less than £500 so I thought for my first month of challenge I'd set a relatively easy target.
