Hi
Can you please put me down for $400 for the month.
Will be quite challenging as I have grandchildren to stay for two weeks, plus am having a mini holiday, but will have to tighten belts and do it.0 -
Morning,
Can I be put down for £190 this month, please?
I have a large shop arriving shortly, which will leave me with a few pounds for top ups during the rest of the month.
I need to do a proper menu plan this month to ensure that existing meat is used up first.
Good Luck all.

My challenge is the same to stay the same or a bit less than last year.
Should be an easy month as I spent 85.00 last July.Slimming World at target0 -
Had my first shop for July, it came to £145.39, this leaves me with £44.61 until the 27th July.
We have plenty in, so apart from top ups for eggs and fresh fruit we should be ok.
Off to do another fiscal fast as this helped enormously in June.
Good Luck all.

((((Hugs)))) to physicsgirl - hope things start to look up for you VERY soon.
Can I be put in for £300 please (28th June to 28th July).
Have a few meals/components in the freezer, but have noticed quite a few holes in the cupboards recently so need to try and be a little clever with meal planning so to use up more items before we move house! Doing a pantry challenge (using up all old items and any stock piles.)

Hi everyone
Please can I join in,
I would like to set a budget of £150 for 2 Adults for the month of July, mine will run 1st to 31st as standard.
Its going to be a tight few months so I foresee some terrible mashups of random items from the back of the cupboards, which will be described as wonderous inventive marvels in culinary history even Heston will be proud:rotfl:.
Will have to figure out the best thing for packups for me..... variety and taste have to exceed the pull of the cafes and shops.GC £157.08/150 @26.7.14

Ist day of the July challenge for me, went to Sainsbugs & Mr M's and spent a total of £5.93. I bought 10 big oranges...£2.00, Basic Feta type cheese...0.85, 2 tubes tomato paste...0.60, Basic kidney beans..0.30, Basic yogurt..0.50, 3 peppers 0.99, 6 tomatoes 0.69 = £5.93...the tomato paste was supposed to be 10p to clear but when I got home I noticed I was charged 30p each...drat,
I defrosted the freezer before I went shopping today and took out 2 large tubs of chicken stock and cooked 7 portions of spicy red lentil soup this afternoon. 6 to go in the freezer. I'd bought a 2kg bag of lentils last year, so am working my way through that. I have 2 redcurrant bushes and one of blackcurrant, also a loganberry bush and 6 strawberry plants on my small patch of garden. I'm also trying my hand at courgettes in tubs and a few herbs. Picked 1.2kg of berries this afternoon and will make some mixed fruit jam tomorrow.
I try to eat healthily and today I had
B-branflakes with milk, 1 slice wholemeal toast & HM jam
L-piece of fish & salad, berries & yogurt
D-tortellini with pesto, 1 slice bread & treacle...there's a bit left in the tin
also had 1 apple and a few cups of tea with milkGC - Oct £36.17/£31
GC - Sep £35.56/£30:o
GC - Aug £30.73/£31
GC - Jul £30.80/£310
