  • I'm in again please for £400, I really want to spend less as in comparison to everyone else it seems really high. I do include nappies / wipes etc too though so I suppose that is £30 - £40 a month.

Good month in June at £285.26/£500 and back in for July and will set it at £400 I think :-) Month starts tomorrow and finishes 27th July. I've got a lot of my bulk buys running out now so hopefully some good buys out there to last me another few months :-)

Hi all, I've been awol the last month due to stress, and although the stress is still there (and worse than ever) I feel I should try to keep on top of my spending, if for no reason but to give me an escape from everything else :(

Setting my budget at £150, provisionally for 2 people, but don't know whether OH will even be around :(
November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150

I was hoping for a NSD today but realised this morning that I forgot to buy potatoes! How did I manage that? Also bought a cucumber while I was there as not much left of the old one, perhaps enough for a couple of sandwiches. Spent £2.28 so I've gone just over my budget of £50 a week. Signature updated.

    Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster (ever on MSE!). I've been following the grocery challenge since January gradually reducing our budget (me, oh, cat, rabbit, fish). I'm going to be giving up work to be a full time student in September to finish the final year of my OU degree. Really need to knuckle down to OS money saving and hold myself accountable to keep on track.

Please could I be put down for £200 for the month. My current months run from my payday (26th June) which will stop soon enough I guess!

Can I be put down for £160 for the month again please. This is for two adults and I am hoping to be under this. We are moving house at the end of the month so need to use up the random items of food in the freezer.
GC: £40 a week. Sticking to my budget, but never remembering to post in the relevant thread.
Probably buying toiletries that I don't need, as I can't resist a "bargain."
