Hiya, Aldi baking powder 69p. I know, I bought it the other day as Asda was also 1.29. Aldi pretty reasonable for baking stuff. On the same subject who does cheap golden syrup? It varies madly in price!
I usually buy it when I see it on offer somewhere as I don't use it very often. If you use lots then you might like to make your own as it's cheap and easy. You might like to see http://youtu.be/ksIHlV9T17U hth.
I had another NSD today
Made a huge SC full of chicken thighs in mustard/cream and dill sauce yesterday. Had some for lunch with bubbles and squeaks from GCJ book and frozen sweetcorn and have frozen rest in portions
I have noticed that lots of peoples are not 'thanking' posters and it is nice to just tick the box when you read the posts. That way posters know that you are actually reading their posts and it is encouraging, especially for new peoples
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

Morning everyone! First chance I've had to do an update
mainly due to a very long day on Sunday as we went up to see the Tour de France as a belated birthday treat for OH, a 14 hour stint at work on Monday then 13 yesterday  wages are done now so I get an earlier finish today and get to ride my horses :j:j cant wait!!
Anyway, here to post spends in Sainsbobs saturday night (for picnic things for sunday) of £7.70 and confirm the main @sda shop total was £96.06 and slight dog food amendment to £52.36 sooooo grand total this month so far of £167.62
Oh and due to long hours at work I've managed 2 NSD's as a bonus! :T0 -

Double grr right enough - dead annoying that. I don't know how they can justify £1.29 for BP and Bicarb, its as cheap as chips to produce. Dr Oetiker gets on my nerves as its so dear!
I am on another rant this morning too - why are OH's so annoying when it comes to food? I am talking about Lurpak butter here. I normally buy full fat for OH and lightest for me. In a bid to save money we agreesd to compromise, so I bought 1kg of the "middle" fat one to do us both. Not even a week into the new tub, OH announces that he hates it and "can really tell the difference" so would I please get a tub of his usual stuff! I hardly eat butter so I have piles of the stuff now! Treble grr for me now!

Looks like it's going to be a NSD again today. I need squash to drink in work but think I'm just going to man up and drink plain tap water instead :lipsrsealDebt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

Nice to do a "light" weekly shop for once, nothing major needed replenishing so spend was just £24.60 between Lidl & Sainsburys.
Total stands at £77.04/£200 spent. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

Ha, I'm another one that's not a fan of "just water"! Even just with a slice of lemon is so much nicer (the slices can be frozen and then serve a double purpose as an ice cube as well!)I have noticed that lots of peoples are not 'thanking' posters and it is nice to just tick the box when you read the posts. Agreed!
Went for coffee and lunch with friends on Saturday - spent £2.50 on coffee and £3 on Sainsbobs meal deal. It was E's birthday so got her a bottle of Austins (£5.99) plus a homegrown mint plant and strawberry plant which can go in the garden of her new house (after it's been used in the Pimms!) - an inexpensive but useful present I thought. I also spent £1.49 on the half price parmesan in L!dl.
In addition I spent £1.70 on milk and 2 garlic baguettes last Friday and ~£2 in the pub on Sunday. Been putting off doing a big shop for as long as possible and just making do with what I've got in, which seems to be working quite well.November GC: £50.55/£130. October GC: £72.60/£150

I'm going to have to revisit meal plans (and grocery budgets) for the next couple of months as I can't open tins, handle heavy pans, lift things out of the oven or wash pots
Came up to the Lakes on Sunday for 13 days walking with full backpack as training for my Camino in September (thankfully staying in a cottage rather than camping) . But on Monday I lost my footing, and managed to break my right hand/wrist quite badly. 2 hospital visits so far (80 mile round trip from where I'm staying, but fortunately stayed overnight locally between them as a friend from school days lives in that area) and another today. But I'm likely to be in plaster right up to my intended departure date, and there's still a chance they may need to operate to put a pin in
Have a few spends to add to my signature, including a totally unplanned £3 meal deal from Mr T yesterday - out of hospital at 12:20pm but couldn't get anyone to pick me up until almost 6pm, so I had to find something to eat!!Cheryl0 -
My meal plan for this week is fairly boring - I can't be bothered to make an effort when I'm just cooking for me. Although saying that I do fancy making a cake, but am worried I would then eat it all and get fat....
Monday - 4 cheese pasta
Tuesday - cauliflower and broccoli cheese with garlic bread
Wednesday - LO cauliflower and broccoli cheese with wedges
Thursday - chicken kiev with roasted veg
Friday - at parents
Saturday - at parents
SUnday - omelette with wedges
Monday - jacket potato with cheese and beans
