Sorry I have been a bit awol recently!

Went to the market on Tuesday and stocked up on a fair few bits and pieces but bf paid as I mainly went for ingredients to use with his new toy (Chef'n sweet spot ice cream maker) :)

Bf home much more than expected this week and next week but should be fine; been out to ASDA today and spent £28.63 from the grocery budget. Whole shop came to a shocking £54.17 however half was stuff for baby/our holiday in a few weeks [fruit juice, pop, a baby swim float, flip flops, a couple of tins, crisps etc] so I am not deducting that from this week/months GC as I will deduct it from next months when we are going on holiday. Bf's parents are coming too and they are also bringing for and drink for in the caravan - we *should* only have to pay for the odd meal as we are taking the dogs so will mostly sort ourselves at the van plus bf's mum and I both love cooking on holiday!

Also did the price guarantee check again and got a voucher again; only £0.58 this time but I'm sure it will soon add up :)

For the rest of this week we should get by on only:
bread & eggs will buy on offer at Iceland 2 for £1.60 (you can mix and match bread and eggs) :)
    Milk
    sliced beetroot
Potatoes - will buy some gigantic ones from the grocers at 29p each
    bacon

nice to see we can come in at under £25 a week including the bairn's formula - just need to get better at planning food for sunny days now!

pay day is 2 weeks tomorrow and I *think* we shouldn't need much at all as long as we stay on the track we are on now

Another NSD for me. Took aged parents into town to sort some things out and mother wanted to go to @ldi. She put two bags of sugar in the trolley and said I can have one...yay for mam xxx and I got my lunch made:)
Was going to have the other 2 Indian breads with the LO prawn curry tonight but they were all squidgy so had a jacket potato instead

cw18 - hope everything goes well with the break and it heals well in time.

Shopping done today and got loads of fruit & veg - melon, onions, pears, apples, mushrooms, tomatoes, cherries, strawberries, parsnips, green beans, peas, broad beans, bananas, plums and grapes plus a few other bits and pieces. Total came to £27.58
I also got given a price promise for £1.90 by mum - I rarely use Te$co but do take her every week so next week will get some milk or something.
Chilli & rice for us tonight, have taken mum a ham salad though as she doesn't do anything spicy or foreign !!! :)

Agh... foiled another NSD by the requirement of bread and dog food totalling a mere £1.45p :/

Not bad though, considering we stocked up on IAMS back in January (3kg for £4) and this is the first dog food we have had to buy since!

So my total so far is £121.61p... quite happy with this, as it is certainly less than I have been spending... probably still okay for target as well, as there is plenty of meat in the freezer! :D

Oh, and I also just received a £25 M&S voucher from Sky, for switching phone and broadband to them (which in itself works out about £30 cheaper per month than we were paying BT for a much worse broadband and calls allowance). Not sure if I will use it for food yet, I do like M&S but it may come in handy for uniforms later on...

    Evening!!
It has been a very busy week and a very busy couple of months (which is why I got myself muddled on weeks and have ended up overspending in both June and July GC :( )
I have updated my sig, although I have another £5 to add on to Julys.
June actually ended up being £283.90/£250 and July has finished at £290/250 :(
I have not been meal planning the same as I was and have not been checking my cupboards aswell before shopping and have been tempted while shopping, drawn back a little to how I was before. The overspends does not cause us any problems at all, just very annoying. Think I need to rein myself back in for my next 4weeks - August's Gc!

I haven't read back yet, will have a catch up on the last few pages!
    foxface that's really good!!

My month finished yesterday so I am declaring an underspend :j

I'm setting my Jul/Aug budget at £200. I hope to bulk buy a few things as I have all the toiletries/cleaning/toilet roll for the month in.

That is for 2 adults and 2 hollow legged teens.

I'm going to have to revisit meal plans (and grocery budgets) for the next couple of months as I can't open tins, handle heavy pans, lift things out of the oven or wash pots :o

Came up to the Lakes on Sunday for 13 days walking with full backpack as training for my Camino in September (thankfully staying in a cottage rather than camping) . But on Monday I lost my footing, and managed to break my right hand/wrist quite badly. 2 hospital visits so far (80 mile round trip from where I'm staying, but fortunately stayed overnight locally between them as a friend from school days lives in that area :)) and another today. But I'm likely to be in plaster right up to my intended departure date, and there's still a chance they may need to operate to put a pin in :o

Have a few spends to add to my signature, including a totally unplanned £3 meal deal from Mr T yesterday - out of hospital at 12:20pm but couldn't get anyone to pick me up until almost 6pm, so I had to find something to eat!!

Ouch feel for you and hope it heals as quick as possible for you, what rotten luck on your holiday.
