I'm glad you feel able to step away from that church, who aren't displaying Christ-like behaviour. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0

That's shocking! I do hope you can find a more supportive church to go to.0 -

thanks for the advice
Hi Foggy,
I've just read your other thread, not sure shocked quite covers that. As a father, I cannot comprehend how a father (especially one living as a Christian) could do such a thing. Anyhow, as somebody who grew up in an environment where corporal punishment (certainly not biting a child though) was perfectly acceptable, I think you've done the right thing as what your husband did crossed the border of when "punishment" becomes "abuse".
Your university should have both a counselling service and links to a church. Please do not give up your studies, you've a life to make for yourself and an example to set for your children.
All the best,

I just read that other thread too, and whilst most were supportive, there were some on there who's views and posts genuinely made me sit back and question why I would want to be a part of this board. Unreal, might be a word I could use to describe them. Detached is another.
Best of luck Foggy, you've got the worst part over with (I hope!) Now time to get out there and kick some @55!!!0 -
Foggy, just read both threads. Hope you are ok, don't let others wind you up. I know plenty of nurses (both nhs and private) that work set hours, it depends on the area, the hospital and manager. Dig your heels in, you can do this. {{{Hugs}}}CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

I've only just discovered this thread... foggy, you are an amazing woman and I do hope that you are ok now. I agree with the others that you are better off without this sorry excuse for a man, but I think you know that yourself.
Why was the other thread deleted? What happened?Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A
