I'm helping someone with bagging all the current account switching incentives at the moment. BoS and Lloyds were very quick to set up (online access, debit card, etc)...just over a week.

If you go with BoS you'll see the account from within your Halifax online area, so no need to register separately for internet banking with BoS.

Thats great, may even open another one to keep for a bit in case I decide to go for other switching bonuses, (but will wait a while before trying other switches).

BOS account successfully opened. not sure if I should apply for the M&S account today or wait a week.

Can you have a second hit at this offer? M&S > Any Bank > M&S and earn the switching incentive twice (or more).

No the terms rule out an incentive if you've already used the switch service to switch an account to M&S.

Hi Can anyone provide me with a quick answer? I opened the free M+S current account ten days or so ago, have signed and sent back the 'Are you YOU?' forms, and received my debit card today. I did chat to someone on the phone last week (they had a q about my address), and he mentioned the £100 gift card if I switched. At the time, I'd been on the phone for 40 minutes, so just wanted to hang up!

I processed what he said after I'd hung up, and am wondering - can I still switch my account to this new M+S one, and receive the gift card?

The terms and conditions of the offer give you the answer... which is yes if you switch within 6 months from opening.

Generally most switches are done after the account is open.
