I was just about to ask the same question. Has anyone used this direct debit as part of the switch and successfully received the voucher?

Yes I have and it works fine. :)

It didn't require DDs last month did it?
    Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)
  • No....but the latest 'offer' seems to have started on 11th August and now includes a 'dine for two' voucher and must be done online via
    a Moneysupermarket ot Moneysavingexpert link.....
  • I just called to set up my switch yesterday and have no DDs. Am assuming that's still fine as they're only required for the MSE dine in for two offer?

They told me the earliest switch date they can offer is 3rd September  which seems mad. They have to post the docs to me first which will take 5 working days, dunno what's wrong with email.

And also they just seemed generally amateurish - called the number given for switches, waited on hold for 10 mins for the girl to tell me that team was closed (website doesn't say anything about opening hours for switch team, except that current account lines are open 24hours). She said she'd arrange a call back from them, but, although they are open until 8, they couldnt do it any evening until the week after next(!) Then she seemed to have a word with the girl beside her and told me actually her colleague would call me back to do it in half an hour!

Based on experience so far, fairly glad I'm not intending to use them for actual banking...

Just 7 more days, if my reading of your incentive T&Cs is correct.

Does that concur with your own understanding?

I'm not sure if this has been answered in this thread but after reading the terms and conditions am I right in thinking that I have up to 6 months from account opening to switch my account to get the voucher?

I'm currently awaiting a switch bonus from another account and there's another switch I want to do before switching to M&S...but I really want to get access to their 6% regular saver asap. I'm not massively fussed about the voucher since I don't shop in M&S but I might as well go for it if it's available.

    How else could...
[FONT=M&SLondon-Regular][FONT=M&SLondon-Regular]b) within 6 months from the date you opened the Qualifying Account you must have switched your account to us using the Current Account Switch Service.

It seemed to good to be true, so I was just double checking that I hadn't misunderstood.

One drawback with M&S is their online banking - you need their security token to do anything.

They have also recently launched a fast balance app - similar to HSBC's one. Only problem - as I found out when I tried to register - is that the M&S app won't work on your phone/ipad etc if you have the HSBC fast balance app already.

You can either have the HSBC app or the M&S app but not both. M&S are aware of this issue - but they don't advertise it.
