Yes,I did read the T&Cs but in the first e-mail back from M&S it did include a part about transferring DDs etc and I wanted to check this definitely was not a requirement :beer:

£125 is a lot of money to me so will be over the moon if it all works..

If you read the switching information that you got from M&S, you should find that it says that it can take up to 28 days (or thereabouts) from completion of switch.

When you call to switch do they only ask questions about what account your switching. Or are there any other tricky questions like why your switching and is it your main account etc etc.

Tricky questions?

"Is this your main account?"
"Yes" or "Well it's one of them...I have several accounts"
"Will you be paying your salary into your M&S account?"
"Yes that's my intention, but it won't be straight away as I want to get things settled first"

By the time you could have arranged for your salary to be transferred you'll have received your gift card and, if you're anything like me, spent it!

They aren't even tricky questions.

I was asked why i'm switching to first direct and i said the incentive helps. The bloke laughed and i got the incentive. Its only questions for research purposed.

As long as you've followed the T&C they cant not pay you.

I applied for this account on Wednesday 15th. I'm pretty sure that I completed the whole of the form but as far as I can see, I haven't had any emails from them. Is this normal or have I gone wrong somewhere?!

Given that the offer is about to expire, you'd most likely do better if you contact M&S to ask about the status of your application.

I also applied on 15th, with email from them was on 17th, starting that i need to call them to discuss something - it was my addresses.

I made 2 additional calls on 22th & 24th and they said to wait for an email. On 25th my account was opened and the credit search was on that date too. Hope that helps.
