Talking about kids reports.... Got DD's on Wednesday and it was fantastic! Couldn't have asked for a better report, although I'm not sure they got the right child as it says that DD (and I quote) "is very helpful, considerate and polite towards her peers and adults alike. She always listens well and puts in an excellent amount of effort to produce work of a high standard. She can take turns and share classroom resources in an unselfish manner. She is a very capable girl who can be relied upon always to produce a high standard of work. She has a postive attitude towards all aspects of her schoolwork and sets a superb example. She gets on well with a variety of children in the class and is a very lively and cheerful pupil"
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Mind you I think all kids are like that

Hi all, I wonder if I've got the cheek to post today as I've done NO flying since Wednesday..Its definitely going to be a housework weekend here though.
I had a couple of hours just me and my mum and I set the OS forum board up for her in her Favourites, working on her slowly to be less scared of the internet by trying to find things that are up her street so to speak. Was very frustrating as I could read all your posts but not join in! Before I forget, Pollybear, re-butter/marg, I don't understand the physics of it but it does seem to work!
Went to see the Damned last night which was good fun. First gig I've been to since the smoking indoors ban. Couple of hundred Old Aged Punks bouncing about and all I could smell was BO. was nearly gagging at some bloke stood beside me.
Today I've managed to spend an hour each with my best school mate, my aunt and uncle and then my fave Cousin. Squeezed in a visit to another friend and then drove 50 miles home to take Fat Bob to the vet to have his paw lanced. I'm beat. Can't cope with late nights and I wasn't even drinking!
Sooo... please may I be excused any flying 'til tomorrow?
Hugs and get better soons all round. One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

I know what you mean Pigpen, unfortunately DS2 who is 6 is not achieving in the reading, he just can't keep it in his head at all, we'll go over the same CVC word ALL day and when you ask him later how to spell it he can't remember. Unfortunately it's took them until year 1 to listen to me when I am saying he can't read, yes he can memorise a book!!! Which is what he did to get away with it through reception. Sure we'll get there in the end with him. Oh he got the glowing helpful, etc child in his report, just wish the horns didn't pop out as soon as he leaves the school gates!
Loving Barney the mop, wow, he'd do a great job of my floors with a pole inserted somewhere :rotfl:
:rotfl: @ the BO smell, see when smoking was allowed it masked the mingers, smoking ban not doing good for DP either, very quiet last week and this weeks turning out the same so he's not impressed at work, tightening purse strings a bit and looking for free/cheap things to do over the hols as will effect income in a big way. Think it'll take a while for people to get used to it but comments are things like 'Walking 10 minutes to go ouside in the rain for a cigarette then come back and your drink is gone' etc.
No post from galantvr4 today, think I remember her saying they were getting the test results back today for her little DD, must be busy, hope everythings okOne day I might be more organised...........

Hi all, not done any flying so I'll happily sit on the stairs with Solway.
DS2 has had his SATs resutls and done fab. He really plataued (sp) in years 3 and 4 - actually his results showed he was going backwards - years 5 and 6 he has come on leaps and bounds, fab teachers and he has tried really hard. Reports to come next week for all of mine.
Children really do learn at different paces and in bursts, I wonder if they learn more when they are not growing and vice versa - DS2 has learnt loads but grown very little in months.
DS3 back at 9:30 ish. DS2 and youthclub and DS1 doing what he does best - sulking. Time to wizz round tidying, sorting washing etc. I'll try to get to the boys rooms over the weekend but not too stressed as they were done very thoroughly last week.
Hope to pop back laterThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hiya
Done nothing today except pull up wee stained carpets. Isn't life fun! I really don't think we realised the extent of how bad our diabetic cat had got in the last year of his life. Bless him.
Spent the afternoon visiting a friend of my mum and dad's in hospital which was quite sad as she's really not well.
I've been put on three lots of antibiotics to try and shift this infection since my op so hopefully i'll start to feel sane soon!
I got my children's reports too. Both have done well though my DD who's always struggled with maths got a 2A again, same as last year. Her teacher predicted a 3c which I think is more important as it shows where the teacher thinks she at. She does panic during tests. She got 4s for reading and writing which I was proud of. I've always loved and preferred reading so I guess she did get some of my genes, lol. DS's report (he's 6) kept making reference to the practical jokes he likes to play and isn't he so funny - no, not when he keeps putting his trick sick in the fridge, in your bed...you think i'd learn!
Kids...who'd have them! xxJanuary budget
