Had a chat about the house yesterday and we love it so have had to up our offer to £282,500 lots of money but its gorgeous. Two others that are ok ave come back on so viewing them again saturday.

Was very spoilt for my birthday, but a couple of things didn't work so took them back and ended up with £60 of vouchers so can treat myself when I see something I like.

    Hi guys

Great news is we've had our offer accepted on our house so fingers crossed it will all go through ok for the mortgage and stuff. Its so exciting I cannot wait!!

Although a little worried about the mortgage we both have had issues (as well documented here!) so fingers crossed. But I've got first direct bank account, sant 123 account and credit card so fingers and toes crossed.

Moneywise - we've had a chat and I do need to stop him and his little spending habits but generally in a good place.

Off to go speak to family about this deposit long promised so again wishing myself lots of luck! x

    Hey guys

Stressful mortgage week this week. However scores on the doors are:

    £249,950 - house price
    £65,000 - deposit
£9,000 - other savings (stamp dut etc)

    therefore - 2.66 times income.

    DH still has c£10k debt.

However with mine and DH's credit report we might struggle a bit. Luckily I work with an amazing mortgage broker so he is sorting and crossing fingers and toes we will get something with over 25% deposit. Even if the interest rate is 6% same as the rent we pay now so happy to pay this for a few years and get on the ladder and then hopefully rebroke it with a lower deal.

At work I am a little quiet so doing my best to try and drum up some more business and contacts - its strange not to be rushed off my feet! Getting small jobs sorted too so feeling happy still.

I think DH's work need to sort their payroll out too - they underpaid him (after promotion) at end of March and today he got £4k which I am sure it far more than his pay should be for the whole month! Told him we need to sort the payslips ASAP as mortgage provider will want it.

We are really doing well with the debt generally - getting it paid down etc.

Weight wise - I have nearly lost all the weight I put on during Easter holidays and birthday celebrations! YAY!! Back on the diet in a strong way before Dads wedding.

    Morning all

Today I am still suffering from a personal training session I did on Friday lunch time - yesterday I could barely walk! Was the hardest half an hour of my life. Got another class today!

DH has yet to solve the overpayment mystery....

Im crossing all my fingers and toes we can get a 'normal' mortgage rather than the slightly more expensive alternatives. TBH I am getting a bit nervous as we do really need to get going on the mortgage app and its still not being processed with Halifax but sure he knows what he is doing..

Hope everyone else is well? xx

  • Is another PT session wise if you are still broken from the last one?!?!

Hope things get moving on the mortgage front soon Xx
