Hi lucky - it was a class rather than just me and it went really well. It has actually helped my muscles believe it or not! He said I would be burning c700 calories if I worked as hard as I did the other day today! Made me feel soooo good.

Hopefully we will know more about the mortgage this time tomorrow. If it can't be the one the mortgage broker says its still only £50 less than our rent with the company that are for people with slightly dodgy credit ratings so I am pleased. That is still £100 more than the normal one but still comfortably affordable....

I am getting excited about owning our own house finally. I just cannot wait to not have dodgy letting agents or landlords who never fix anything or come and visit once a month!

Sorted DH's overpayment too - they put the decimal point in the wrong place! It was meant to be £400 not £4,000 hahaha at least he was honest and its all going to be sorted but honestly - you'd think there would be more checks in place...

    Morning all

Got my car tax for the year starting in May. £30!! I genuinely didn't know it was that cheap. Means I still have £700 in the annual expenses pot. That should cover home insurance and car service and insurance. yes!

Just wanted to let you all know that even though we have both had blips on our credit score, our broker secured us an amazing 1.64% fixed for two years mortgage with Halifax!

This is of course subject to valuation but I wanted to let you all know that it doesn't matter if you have some issues, go to someone who knows the market well and they will guide you!

Before this I was so close to just applying to Aldermore (great mortgages dont get me wrong) but the rate was 3.68% fixed for 2 years.

This will save us c£300 a month. Well worth the fee of £1,000 (of which Halifax is paying nearly £600).

Just good luck everyone, have faith, save hard, pay off those debts and you will get there.

Thank you to everyone for all your support and help

Can you believe our mortgage payments will be c£615 a month and our rent is £950?! That is crazy! That is a 3 bedroom semi compared with a 2 bed terrace but still its massive inside and not much smaller.

Plus bills will be cheaper as its not 'normal' heating and has 2 log burning stoves.

It does show you that mortgage can be SO much cheaper than renting, just a really shame that the you need such a big deposit so that prices people out of the market.

My brother is the same in London. He pays less for his mortgage and bills than he did in a shared house - although his house is a little further out and in a slightly different area it just seems crazy!

This is so true. We are looking less than £1,000 all in every month... compared with like £1,500 now! Crazy.

I just hope it all goes through ok.

I;ve been doing lots of 'core' work outs with classes and by myself so hope that works! I then ate a whole bar of mint aero to myself because I was stressed earlier... not such a good girl after all...

    Hope everyone is well xx
