hi all this weekend I did the moonwalk with my mum. Very special and raised over £500. however, I ended up spending lots more than I expected as at 4am I had to get a taxi home rather than a night bus and I was SOOOOOOO tired. Never mind I will claw it back somehow.
hope you are all good> xx

'Morning Sparky, :hello:
Great news about DH's new job, car, and finding a house (fees could have been worse - one of my neighbours at homehome uses an agency to manage his properties, who charge about £400 per person to approve new tenants!).
Did you go somewhere nice when you went away?0 -
We have been away to France with DHs family which was not a huge success. It was all fine but far too far away,. we couldn't find the villa and I was tired the whole week after 24 hours travelling and lost nights sleep. Not to mention FiLs future wife had a huge go at me one night and really upset me! I came home a bit upset and misrible, (the wine was good though!) so not like me. I am always happy and positive. however, a long weekend in Devon with my family made the world of difference and now I feel so much more centre and ready to take on anything.
the house is truly gorgeous, I hope that once I have moved (and paid off a little more debt!) I will also be able to help at the local debt charity. They currently dont offer any out of work hours help and I find that very sad as lots of us work and find it hard during the week to get the time off and I feel I owe it to people to be a truly good financial planner not just helping rich people!
I know the fees could have been worse and I have found a great deal with Anyvan .com and hopefully that will all go through ok. Luckily our London landlord has also been fab and I hope we will avoid a week's rent in London which covers the moving costs!
I have my one to one at work on Wednesday and even though I have handed in my notice I have already asked to be considered for a bonus. I am underpaid in my current role by c£20-35k if you include the lack of bonuses (which are very common given my performance). But who knows any penny extra will go towards paying off the blooming credit card and or loan....
We also want to start saving to buy a house. BUT I have told DH I need need him to pay off his credit card first. He has a large loan too, but this is being paid off as per the terms. Its the 26% interest on the cc that gives me heart palpations.... any tips guys? xx

Tips for paying off credit card balances;
I run the extra payment every week thread. The principle behind it is that once a week (I do it on a Friday) you make a conscious effort to pay something off the card. This could be a set amount (£5?) or it could be rounding down your available bank balance, eg if you had £123.45, you could send the £3.45 (or even the £23.45 if you were feeling flush).
Sell things on eb@y and pay the profit off the card.
Be aware of savings made and pay them to the card, eg budget £20 for something, find it for £16 so pay the extra £4 off the card.
Transfer to a 0% card if/when possible.
Will think of more XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
