Ha! Well, funnily enough we did wave to you in about the right place then - did you spot us, two very soggy travellers in a van still dripping with Welsh rain? :rotfl:

    Morning all!

So, this week I have made DH and myself review money, diets and everything really.

So, we got our full deposit back from our lovely London landlord. that was a winner! I've not used it to pay anything off yet as it is not accumulating interest but we did have to spent lots of money in the big Swedish place. (just remember we had literally nothing to bring furniture wise and after a night not sleep on the blow up bed we had to get a bed and certain other items couldn't be bought second hand without spending even more on transportation!) I also got my apple watch so need to pay that off the card too.

Diet wise its less than a month until I a bridesmaid so really need to kick this diet into touch again, I was compared body wise at my cousins hen do to a lovely lady but she is a size 24/26 (very comfortable in her own skin and I am not criticising her) and I am a 16 ( losing 5 stone has been SO hard and I was a 20), so I was a little upset by that. I know that to these other lovely ladies who were all 6-10's I must seem like the same size but still I was pretty hurt. So therefore I need to show myself I can be what I would like to be!

Bills are still difficult to work out so struggling a little with the budget but the best thing is that A (the cheap european one!) is a walk away and on way home so doing lots of super 6 shops at the moment.

I hope that we can save and buy a house soon, the prices are so much more reasonable here!

Love catching up with you all.

Robin - you must have had a feeling! I am sorry the Welsh rain was so hard yesterday it was pretty wet here too.

    xx

  • Oh my goodness, poor you being compared to someone who is obviously much larger than you :(. You have worked so hard, don't let them get you down. I'm sure you will look fab as a bridesmaid.

I am always being told that I think I'm bigger than I am. For instance, I'll say I (genuinely) think I look the same as someone on the tv or in the street and I get "don't be silly, she's twice the size of you", but then there was once at a work 'do' I was mistaken for someone who I thought to be MUCH bigger than me. I was mortified! So I understand how you feel Xx

Thank you lucky! Its silly but I think its because I have worked hard that I feel annoyed by it.

Well had a nice wake up call - my beautiful car was broken into last night and they stole my mums sat nav. She has a flash one I bought and I borrowed her old one as she was going to Europe driving and needed Euro maps. Gutted. Felt so Guilty so I have ordered her another, along with the stand etc. £70 I really didn't need to spend. Only noticed because I was with DH giving me a lift to work and there was my freezer bag and cleaning kit at the side of the road around the corner! Bit shaken up. 3 years living in zone 1 in london and nothing move to quite sleepy town outside bristol and this happens!! Even the police seemed shocked. Luckily I dont think the car is damaged but its a little worrying. I am normally so careful with leaving things locked up etc its just made me very worried. Anyhow, big family party this weekend so back east. Looking forward to it. Tonight I had booked in a pedicure because of family party, tried to cancel to save £20 but they said as it was less than 24 hours notice they would charge me anyhow. So I will be going and making the most of it!

Had such a good week with NSDs that this has really just blown out of the water! perhaps I shall take it from my car maintenance pot? Either way the wonderful holiday I was dreaming we might be able to take in October is now fully down graded to perhaps a day trip or two to Devon and Cornwell. Had seen some great bargains but after this and a few other bits seems decadent to spend money on a holiday when we so need to save more for the house.

Hope you are all well xxxx

    Morning all

Well its another gorgeous sunny day in the West Country and as we speak I am currently sitting in my lovely little office pondering about all the things I must get done before I see lots of lovely clients tomorrow.

Moneywise I have had to help DH pay the £659 for his car insurance, the house insurance was due for renewal @ £150 (i did reaserch around and this was the best price) and all other moving related costs! Therefore my pot is looking very much smaller. Oh well, on with the Debt busting! STill no energy bills, and the water is a huge £70 a month until March! That was quite shocking. Hopefully I can do some quidco cash back and switch power companies as its currently awful company. Anyhow, in the West Country, settling down and enjoying life.

Hope you are all good?? xxx
