So work is HORRID at the moment I am truly suffering after handing in my notice!

However, my debt saving is going well - we had a work party and I walked home rather than before I would have got a taxi.

Also avoid spending lots of money but got my free Waitrose coffee anyhow hahaha!

Have a lovely long weekend all xx

Hello all, we seem to be spending so much money this month all for necessary things but still frustrating!

    Hope everyone else is well?

We ordered our new car and its coming from another part of the country so will have that sorted by the end of May (another additional expense but so necessary for the new west country life).

    xx

Dont this is really scaring me.

We have awful upstairs neighbours. Last weekend I asked them to turn down the music as I had to ring a lovely client who is the daughter of another and sadly her mother passed away. She was a ripe old age but that doesnt make life easier. Upstairs music was so loud I could hear the lyrics word for word so I knocked to ask them to turn it down. They wouldnt answer so literally 5 minutes of knocking they finally came down and then started shouting and swearing at me saying of course it is ok for them to do whatever they like and sometimes they hear our tv. Well thats fine I said, we will of course turn it down but perhaps as I have to speak to a recently bereaved lady could they have some consideration? Perhaps also when they come home in the middle of the night on a Thursday or Wednesday as is often a weekly occurrence perhaps they could afford being sick all over our shared door step as its really rather horrid to hear, see and smell! So he slammed the door in my face and called me a really horrid name.

They turned the music down and being shaken from this behaviour but ok I called my client and all was sorted.

However, he has started to follow me to work in the morning Its really weird. I normally leave at 6:50 on the button and he used to leave before this. Now he waits until I am leaving and then follows me for the first 10 minutes of my walk. Now you might think he isn't following me just walking. So I tested this and walked in a circle this morning (its a complicated estate and houses with lots of little roads so only if you know it well and use it all the time you would realise) and he still followed me....

So DH is making an effort to ensure I am very rarely walking near our home by myself. Thank goodness in nearly 2 months we are moving x

yesterday was a hard day. DH is really struggling to get a job and we really thought he had this one nailed. Only they came back and said he was too good for it so they wouldn't offer it to him! How frustrating?! They don't have any other offerings at the moment either but he was a great candidate. I am beginning to get worried about money, I have £3,400 saved up and hope to save another £1,000 by the time we move. But if DH doesnt have a job when we move it will be very hard.

However, still positive still a while to go!

Hope you are all good x

    Hi Sparky, :hello:

Am so glad you're going to be getting away from your unhinged neighbour soon - awful behaviour! I'd carry a little pot of pepper in m'bag if someone tried that intimidation trick on me - meanwhile please tell the police. Nothing much will happen now, but with the history on record you'll be taken seriously if the situation escalates and you have to call 999.
Bet you can't wait for moving-day.. :grouphug:

Great news about the car - brand new? What a lovely family you've got!

Shame DH missed out on a job he wanted, but the right position will open for him. You have the skills to manage on your wage - who knows, maybe DH's talents will be needed for home renovations initially?
..Have you started looking for a new house yet?
