  • I know its a huge amount of money, but it will a) keep its value so I can sell on and b) they cost 7 times as much new.

I've had 2 NSD so far in Sept but not sure how many more I will make it too...

Money wise it may seem like I have been a little fluid shall we say, but I have also paid off so much that I needed a treat. I used to have lunches out all the time, and the odd 'treat' from boots etc and I rarely if ever do that now and it makes me feel like I have 'saved' so much I needed it?

Also, we no longer have the fish monger that we used to so saved £10 a week on that and making the most of being next to one of London's best fruit and veg markets and spending £10 a week being completely overwhelmed with them!

Hope you are all good xxx

    Hi Sparky, :hello:

Wow, you're doing amazingly well towards getting rid of those debts :T

You deserve a treat for making such good progress, although must say I agree with Lucky - the price of that handbag is eye-watering!
(If you're taking it, better ensure it's true value is specified on your honeymoon insurance policy ;)).
  • hi Robin!

No way am I taking it far too special just in case... Its £1,350 new so its a now mentioned on our contents insurance!

I am very pleased to be paying off as much as I am its amazing how these little amounts really add up.

I hope everyone is doing well?

I am hoping to have another work related bonus of c£1,000 soon. I will save £200 towards Christmas £150 towards holiday in Italy next year (my mum owns a place there and is buying our flights as a wedding present treat so super cheap holiday!) and paying off one of my credit cards with the rest.

Its so great to be getting rid of this massive weight on my shoulders. Hopefully DH will make great progress on his debt with his bonus, he really needs too!

Hope everyone else is good? I am really finding a great MSE for us is to do a massive roast with a huge chicken or bit of beef costing c£10-13 and then it does at least 10 meals. Last week the chicken did 14 meals plus stock! It was great and the only meat I bought all week. i'm not saying its perfect but honestly a tasty great way to save money! In the past I would have spent c£40 on meat a week and now with fruit and veg from the local market I seem to have really found a way to keep the food budget down.

the other thing I have thought has saved me £££££ is just not taking money to work so that I am not tempted to splash out at lunch and such. Its been a pain sometimes but the NSDs increase too!

Have a good day all x

  • Hello all

getting frustrated today because my Noddle report updated this morning. Great! But no, so many of my debts which have been paid off are not showing correctly! I have to do my first presentation to my company on the 31st October, showing I haven't just paid £500 a month but paid off £500 a month. I might have to just spend time providing statements from each of the companies showing its reduced... Any ideas guys?

Anyhow not long until holidays now.. yay!! x

  • Can you ring the individual companies and ask them to report it correctly, or to at least send you some kind of statement showing the true balance? Xx
